Critic Reviews

This huge resort (1,350 acres) was folded into the Omni hotel chain and transformed by an $85-million renovation and expansion in 2013, including 155 additional oceanfront rooms and stunning oceanfront Beach Club pools. The emphasis is on family-oriented accommodations and activities, including golf courses (54 holes, some oceanfront), 23 Har-Tru tennis courts, and expansive spa facilities.

You have to give Omni credit for calling their $85-million revamp of the island's largest resort a 're-imagination.' ... With over 1,350 lush beachfront acres of manicured golf greens, bike trails, and a breathtaking coastal wilderness of marshes and lagoons, this massive resort is so spread out that a free tram runs around the grounds every 15 minutes.

Lonely Planet

Fresh from an $85m renovation, this solid beachfront resort about 9 miles south of Fernandina Beach has a wide variety of dining options and an array of stylish, check-in and tune-out guestrooms and villas. It's perfect for those who prefer seclusion and amenities to the intimacy of Fernandina's homely B&Bs.

Secluded, wooded grounds envelope this extensive waterfront property with restaurants, shops and a spa. Every room has an ocean view and private balcony.
