Disappointed and Dealing
Sep 21st, 2020
Arrived to friendly, helpful faces. Valet parking and bell staff were quick to greet. Check in was smooth; directions to room sent us on walk about rather than direct to our remote lodging. Discovered a lift that would have permitted direct access for mobility challenged Senior. Internet access failed repeatedly until tech assist bypassed login protocol. Second day, direct access lift shut down with no signage to alert resulting in excessive wait time and another walk about. TV remote batteries had to be replaced; closed captioning required tech support. Shower control was not operable by Senior as it was too stiff to open with arthritic hands. Grossly over priced and over rated resort experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Don’t spend your money at this gross place...stay farther north

To say this hotel was a disappointment is an understatement. It’s on the beach which is beautiful but it is so dirty and the service is so bad....seriously find somewhere else to stay. They moved me twice and the room was still dirty. I waited 2 hours for a salad at the pool bar. I waited 10 minutes to speak to the concierge and gave up...plus they have all of these signs about how my safety is important to them but there were so many fingerprints on the glass and entry door it didn’t seem to have been cleaned in days. Honestly, I think the reviews must be for a different hotel. Even the restaurants and the merchantile across the street were dirty too. It looked like the windows hadn’t been cleaned in months. They do have disinfecting gel stations but that didn’t make me feel “safe”. It seemed like it just made all of the door handles sticky. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great spot for a nice getaway!

This is the perfect spot for an east coast getaway. The resort is huge with 2 great pools and lovely beach access. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit and it was really easy to social distance with so many seating areas outside. The standard rooms are great. Beds were super comfy and loved the Nest fragrance amenities in the bathroom. So many dining options you don't have to leave the resort. Falcon's Nest was great! If you do want to leave the resort, make sure you have a car. There are apparently only 2 lyft/uber drivers on the island. We did use Tom's Island Transportation at the recommendation of the concierge and he was awesome! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Love the Omni

We absolutely love The Omni in Amelia Island. From the time you arrive the Valets folks are extremely friendly and helpful. Each of the 4 nights we left they were there to make sure we didn’t have any needs and asked how we enjoyed ourselves when we arrived back. We appreciate Michael having us a great room with a fantastic view. Cody at check in was very friendly. Make sure you start your day at the Sunrise Cafe for a great breakfast. Daniel/Danny and his staff were incredible. Levi down at the beach made sure we had all our needs met. Special thanks to Tabitha for helping us when we checked out. Omni at Amelia Island is a Ten❤️😎 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
