Another great stay

Feb 17th, 2020

I always stay here when I’m in Charlottesville. It has a great location adjoining the downtown mall and is easily reached from the Interstate. The property is well-maintained and clean. The rooms are nice and all the staff really make you feel at home. The only downer was the construction project next door which woke us up way too early! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tired old property

Feb 10th, 2020

In dire need of a facelift. Whle the location is super, the property is tired. As for the restaurant, rather limited menu w/focus on profits. Really, a $16 hamburger and a $19 glass of Pinot? Predatory. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love It...Great Location

Feb 9th, 2020

This is my first stay at the Omni and it’s a keeper! Despite the 20 - 25 minute drive from the airport (depending on traffic) it is well worth the wait. Pros: Commercial limo waiting for us on arrival (despite us being several hours late); standard sign in sheet awaiting us at the desk; very friendly front desk staff; very nice rooms (see photos) with fridge (no freezer but front desk will take freezer bags), coffee, extra space, nice desk (away from a/c unit) and cool view of the lobby (see pics); excellent fitness room; outstanding location with very short walk to pedestrian mall filled with places to eat, shop and other entertainment. Cons: None to report. This was a business trip..but if I was to spend time in this city I’d stay at this hotel for certain. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Slept like a bear

Feb 9th, 2020

Slept like a bear - bed was so comfy! Great hotel, lunch at the Pointe was good and priced fairly as well - has a Caesar salad. Neat atrium, nice staff and an easy hotel to get around it. Had the best night sleep I’ve had in a while. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, staff a mixed crowd

Feb 8th, 2020

I stayed 2 weeks at the Omni. The facility was okay, the jacuzzi was great, and most of the staff seemed nice but boy, on two different occasions I dealt with staff that were either completely unwilling to help or that had been disabled by their manager. When I arrived I was told I could not have a king sized bed because people that were going to arrive the next night would need it. I was told that I could move into the room for a night and then move out the next day and move back in a couple of days later. When I asked why people that were arriving the next day were more important than a guest that was staying for two weeks, there was no response.I moved into the room and the next day an able bodied and more friendly desk person made it right and let me stay in my room. This morning I called because I left something in the room. The morning staff said they would call me when they found ot but never did. The same night staff that checked me in said they did not find it. I could tell she was trying to get rid of me so I pushed. Then she admitted that it might be in the lost and found but did not offer to try to find it. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and she gave me to a man who proceeded to do the same thing. Neither offered to call me back. Soo, either the hotel actually has limited staff at night (scary) that cannot actually get into every room or they have managed to hire two people to serve their night desk that really don't like people.
