First and last

This was my first time staying at this hotel or any Omni property and it will be my last. I have stayed at several hotels in Corpus Christi and usually stay between 1-3 days each month so I was very taken a back by the comments of Meghan in their accounting department. I booked this hotel from my company travel system, Concur. My booking included the breakfast buffet. It didn't ask how many people would be staying and I didn't think about it. However, as this was my first-time at this hotel and they gave me a voucher I specifically asked my server if the voucher covered me and my guest who stayed with me in my double bed room, which was originally booked as a king bed accessible room. I was told that it did cover us both. So needless to say I was very confused to be told that they billed me for breakfast when I questioned the charge on my bill. According to Meghan, when I booked the hotel it was for one so the breakfast voucher was only good for $25. I explained I asked the server and Meghan continued with you only booked for one. However, I really didn't and the system doesn't say in the disclaimer when you book the hotel that it's for one or the amount of the voucher. Although the charge was only for $16.24, it's the principal. If your staff is unable to provide basic information don't back door the charge and hold it against the customer. Like United says when I fly, I have a choice of whom to fly with the same goes for my hotels. And I would rather stay where they appreciate my business and possible repeat business then shuck it for $16. And for those who want to know how the breakfast buffet was...the scrambled eggs with spinach and sausage was cold and so was the gravy, which was disheartening since we arrived at 6:30am the beginning of breakfast. Also for the record, but for Meghan I was planning on staying there my next time to Corpus because of my experience with the front desk staff, whom I thought were friendly and professional. However, it only takes one incident to sour ones experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Thanksgiving

My family stayed at this facility on Thanksgiving. As usual the service, starting with the valet, was exceptional. We watched football in the Glass Pavilion and then had dinner. My kids went swimming in the heated pool and then sat in the sauna. We moved to this area a year ago but continue to come here as often as possible. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great staff!

Our rooms AC went out and Ebony and Tony from housekeeping with Victor from engineering responed immediately to resolve the problem. In less than 10 minutes our AC worked again and we were glad to not move rooms. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pick another hotel

First time at an Omni & was highly disappointed upon arriving. The entrance & lobby area tell a very different story than the hotel room. Here is a list of things that did NOT meet the standards and quality for the price or the name of this hotel: Dresser drawers would not close and kept swinging open in the middle of the walk-way, The ottoman chair was filthy and stained. The pillows sucked as did the king size bed. The restroom door and toilet touched each time you opened & closed the door. Room service: the food (spaghetti) was NOT fine dining at all. The meatballs were harder than hard and the sauce tasted like it had some type buffalo sauce in it & was spicy, too. Overall, this stay did not meet the expectations of an Omni Hotel! We will never stay at an Omni again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Outstanding in every way!!

We have stayed at the Omni for the past 5 years and every year we feel just a little bit like royalty. We are treated with such respect, friendliness, and extraordinary service and meals. Would recommend this to anyone only if they like feeling special! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
