Far From 5 Star

My daughter booked a surprise birthday getaway for me and her! The hotel room was dusty and bathroom was filthy! The shower had hair in tub and all over shampoo bottle! There were no cups to make any coffee or tea. They gave her a room that had been vacant for a while. It wasn’t worth the money she spent for it! You’re better off booked at an Holiday Inn Express! It was a huge disappointment on my day that she tried to make special! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful Place to Celebrate!

Jul 8th, 2020

Travel's getting harder and harder these days with COVID restrictions, so a staycation for our gender reveal was about all we could manage. Thankfully, the Omni made our stay a wonderful one! Despite all the corona modifications all hotels are having to make in Texas, they gave us a beautiful, recently-upgraded room on a high floor overlooking Ft. Worth. Everything had been meticulously sanitized, down to the robes and remote. We loved watching the metroplex's various 4th of July firework shows from our bedroom window. The bathroom was especially impressive - we're huge fans of the new glass shower doors! The gym was very well-equipped and clean, too. Thanks, Omni Ft. Worth, for making our special night extraordinary! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend get away

Jun 30th, 2020

My experience was wonderful. Hotel staff were welcoming and made us feel safe while dealing with increase COVID cases in the community. I will definitely go back. Since most of the bars were closed we made our own fun. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bait and Switch

Jun 21st, 2020

Poor experience; simple as that. The pictures of the pool on the website are of the residents pool. The hotel pool is below average. The bar doesn’t open until 2pm. The rooms were HOT and the air was stale. The only good thing was the location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Google "Omni hotel overcharged". About $600.they overcharged us

Jun 14th, 2020

If you google "omni hotel overcharged" you'll see that it's a common thing and its near impossible to get the money back. Upon check in, we authorized a $200 charge on the card for incidentals but they said it would be returned to us. The next night my wife got a text from the CC company saying we were charged $198.31. We questioned it right away and the very nice night manager said it was "a glitch" in the system and then 30 minutes later said it was her fault because she didn't adjust it manually since we paid through Hotwire. Something like that. Then she excused it to her needing to recharge more money to it since we didn't have $200 on the card anymore because they deducted breakfast and the $34 valet. It was weird. I didn't authorize a second charge but they were charging it anyways. I talked to the very nice Sunday manager in the morning and he said that it was just that he hadn't manually adjusted the price because it was through Hotwire. I thought that was very weird since they are a huge business and that something so simple not being automated is odd. He said that's one of the reasons they were trying to go to a new system. But this has been happening for years. As we got into our Land Criuser to leave, my wife got two more texts saying the hotel just charged us $81 and another for $293. We went back and I had the manager write out and sign saying that it's all their fault that they overcharged us and that we would be having the money sent back to us. But he wrote it in a nebulous way. So I wrote it out in a simple plain way and he read it and agreed and signed it. There is no telling how many hundreds of millions of dollars they have accidentally overcharged through that glitch over the years. The bills are rarely questioned by business travelers who just expense it to the company or by people who don't check their credit card statements each month to justify them or those who have other people do that for them. This needs an FBI investigation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
