Thank Goodness for the Location

I chose this hotel based on its location to local attractions. In hindsight, I should have read the reviews because I’ve experienced similar terrible moments that other reviewers have shared. From mold in the bathroom to not enough towels for guests on the reservation and rooms not tidy enough to furnishings being in terrible shape. What made this hotel stay worse was that the majority of the elevators were not functioning and the escalator was broken and not accessible. And because of COVID-19, capacity in the elevator is limited. Note that limiting capacity and adding protective measurements due to COVID-19 isn’t my complaint here but because so many things are limited and restricted due to COVID-19, taking your elevators and escalators offline at the same time is not okay. On average, I’ve waiting 15-20 minutes for an elevator every time I’ve needed it. On arrival from the valet, we couldn’t even figure how to get to the lobby to check-in without having to wait 21 minutes for an elevator. Poor signage and no staff to direct you. After paying $45 per day for valet (I know, insane rate for this city), I should have someone walk me directly to the lobby for check-in or at the very least, direct me appropriately. I give a lot of grace to the hospitality industry due to COVID-19 but none of my concerns or frustrations were made possible because of the pandemic. This all comes down to management not caring. The only thing this place has going for it is its location. I won’t be back to this property and am reminded that I get what I pay for. Spend the extra money and find another downtown property. Ridiculously horrible service

We visited for a huge volleyball tournament. This tournament happens every year so you would think they’d be prepared. Check-in line took about 30 minutes, elevator another 30 min (easily). Two elevators aren’t working. Get into the room and have one towel, one washcloth, one hand towel. Charge for WiFi. Called for more towels and they showed up 2 hrs later (after the 2nd call) with one more towel and one washcloth. Ice machine broken. In addition, they didn’t bother to tell us that they charge a $100.00/night deposit (refundable after stay). Called again for towels and nobody ever showed up. When called a second time we were told it would take a few hours and we called at 10pm. We have had a much better experience at many low cost hotels such as Hampton inn and holiday inn express. The ONLY positive is that it’s connected to the world Congress center. Not worth it at all. Also, the “restaurant “ is a joke. Wait 45 min to get in, food took an hour and a half to get and then the order was wrong. Many friends had the same exact story the next afternoon. I am now trying to get a question answered from the front desk and nobody answers...been ringing for 20 minutes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Disgrace to Omni name

My family booked a king room that “sleeps 3” with a rollaway bed to accommodate our daughter. We prepaid with a special rate. Upon arrival, we learned half of the elevators and the escalator were undergoing maintenance. After dragging our baggage up two flights of stairs and standing in line for 45 minutes at the registration desk, I was told they didn’t have any rollaway beds left. This was 11pm on my birthday. My stays at other Omni locations were never like this. If you want a similar birthday, stay here. Otherwise choose one of the many other local hotels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not worth it

I stayed here for a cheer competition because it's close to the venue and I regret it. The bathroom was not clean. We had no running water in our toilet upon arrival. A light bulb blew up in the bathroom. The rooms are outdated. The beds are basic mattresses with oversized down toppers that don't even fit. There was one ice machine working in the entire tower. These aren't the types of complaints I expect when for the price. Such a disappointment. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Back in ATL for a cheer competition at the GWCC and stayed here. It is attached to the GWCC so location is ideal. Our room was great, service all around was spectacular. We had zero issues during our stay and every staff member we came across was courteous and professional. Our room was on the 14th floor with balcony and had a wonder view of downtown ATL. Look forward to staying here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
