The DAY a concert canceled, Omni charged my card for a non-refundable hotel room. When I asked if I could switch the room to a closer hotel that I would be more likely to stay at, I was told no. Both women I spoke to were curt and impatient with me. They are trying to recoop moneys lost in covid.... great job omni, screw the single mom who's just trying to make her daughter's birthday special. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It was fine- under construction so lack of dining and seating options, food was overpriced and mediocre and service was slow, but the rooms were clean. The location was great- right in the center of town so it made getting places easy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I've stayed at the Omni several times and I regret that this stay was a disappointment. Certain staff members heroically did what they could to make up for deficiencies, so if you encounter problems, be sure to speak to a manager at once. My issues were upon arrival, I had a large parcel to carry with me, and the bellman insisted on putting our minimal luggage and this parcel on a cart to be delivered to our room. even though I wished to have it in my sights at all time. The problem was that the cart never arrived and after a few hours of waiting and no answer despite multiple tries to call front desk, I walked to the elevator and couldn't get one to stop at my floor. Another bellman happened to arrive on my floor and made note of my problem and followed through. He said my cart had been pushed to a closet and neglected. The first night of my multiple nights' stay, I spotted a live roach in the dresser/refreshment area. When I peered under the cabinet, it was obvious that housekeeping had not been attentive to bits of trash. Nor was the coffee station ever refilled over my stay. The hotel addressed this issue by treating my room for insects and leaving a dessert tray as a surprise. They also offered to move me to a different room but mine was relatively quiet and had a nice view so I stayed. Valet parking was a huge problem. Upon returning one evening, I waited in street traffic for half an hour or more within a block's view of the hotel due to a downtown event. There was no attempt to create a lane or direct traffic for hotel guests (and it seemed like several non-guests had parked in the hotel garage). Even if the hotel had anticipated this event and notified guests to be aware of parking delays, it would have been a courtesy and I would have planned a later arrival to miss the expected stall. The worst was upon check-out. I rolled my luggage to valet lobby and presented my ticket. It was hours before my car arrived. I waited in line at the check stand 3 times with only a casual response before I finally called hotel manager. Seems my (unfamiliar) rental car had been pulled to a far outer lane an hour earlier, but with the hundred or so people in the waiting area, no attempt was made to find me and it was re-parked! The manager was apologetic and waived parking charges which was appreciated. I would have rather had the time back that I had kept my lunch date waiting in midtown and then the later arrival at my out-of-state destination that evening. I chose the Omni this occasion for its convenience to the World Congress Center and my entrance and exit to the west of Atlanta to miss traffic to the suburbs. With the inconveniences I endured at the hotel, I'm pretty sure they used up any time I might have saved. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Express check in that took almost 4 hours

Arrived at hotel at 9 and room was not ready. After 2 hours they decided to get me into a room away from the convention. Room was dirty and lamps didn't work. Only had one towel no phone service, and 1 1/2 hrs later they finally gave me another room. And 30 min after that finally gave me my room key, and I am a platinum member. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
DISAPPOINTING STAY AT WHAT WAS A NICE HOTEL

Half of the hotel is under construction so it's noisy in one of the lobby areas. Saving grace is that the staff is very accommodating. The "newer" side of the hotel is a bit dated and the shower is awful - still using old water-savers. I could also hear every conversation in the room next to me well into the evening - not great, to say the least TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
