The property is within walking distance of both the Financial District and Chinatown
Parking and Wi-Fi access are expensive here
Housed in a former bank building that dates back to the 1920s, the Omni San Francisco Hotel has held on to aspects of its history: The lobby impresses guests with crystal chandeliers, wood paneling and a marble staircase. But the Omni's 362 rooms and suites are also lavish, as they are outfitted in warm red, gold and brown hues, and accommodations include amenities, such as flat-screen TVs and Keurig coffee makers. The majority of travelers who choose to stay at this Omni property leave feeling more than satisfied. The hotel's location at the intersection of Chinatown and the Financial District is a huge selling point, while the competitive room rates pleased guests who like a good value (though parking costs extra and is not covered by the daily $25 destination fee). Visitors are also quick to praise the prime cuts served up at Bob's Steak & Chop House. What's more, members of the Omni Select Guest program can cash in or accrue points for choosing to stay here.

Critic Reviews

Italian marble, crystal chandeliers, and rich wood paneling in the lobby set the elegant tone in this award-winning hotel. Flanked by city skyscrapers, it’s located at the base of Nob Hill near the Financial District on iconic California Street, where cable cars roll up the steep incline.

Travel + Leisure

In addition to a convenient location on the California Street cable car line, the hotel also offers a number of little extras, from complimentary walking tours to kid-friendly surprises like welcome gifts and nighttime milk and cookies.

Step into this 1926 redbrick-and-stone building, a former bank, and immediately feel transported to another era. This luxe Financial District property features plenty of historical flavor with chandeliers, marble staircases, and mahogany paneling.

This upscale, medium-sized hotel, part of the Omni chain, is a stylish, comfortable option for well-heeled tourists and business travelers.
