Five championship golf courses can be found on-site
Past guests were a bit letdown by the resort's rooms
The PGA National Resort & Spa earns high praise from guests, who claim the retreat is an excellent lodging choice for Palm Beach visitors looking to tackle the fairways. The grounds boast five 18-hole courses for putters, designed by respected architects like Tom and George Fazio and Arnold Palmer. The PGA National Resort also makes a great West Palm Beach home base for non-golfers, too. The resort boasts a generously sized pool and often hosts fun special events like the annual ice cream and craft beer festivals. For a more low-key experience, plan to spend time at the resort spa, which advertises that it features "more than 100 ways to indulge." Rooms and suites come equipped with contemporary furnishings, 42-inch LCD TVs, minifridges and iPod docking stations. While previous guests were fond of the grounds and amenities, some noted the rooms weren't up to par with the rest of the resort. However, the Ironwood Steak & Seafood restaurant receives ample praise (particularly for its succulent seafood or beef dishes). Appropriately, the PGA National Resort & Spa sits on the Avenue of Champions in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Critic Reviews

Rich in golfing history and tradition, this resort is home to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic every winter.

The clubhouse is massive, but since the course is open only to hotel guests and members, the greens are not overcrowded.
