Oct 27th, 2020

I love staying here at the Pacific Inn! The rooms are really clean and the toiletries are bath and body works! The location is great and you can walk to the beach and visit restaurants and storefronts along the way! Nice and quiet we will be returning! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly & helpful staff...very clean (COVID measures taken)

Oct 22nd, 2020

The title says a lot that is positive. Suggestions, at least for someone like me who does not know the area: DIRECTIONS TO YOUR PLACE: It's a bit of a maze in the area with various waterways (as well as the ocean!), so instructions from various freeways would be helpful. Perhaps they are on their website, but didn't see them. Once there, you are walking distance to "old town" of Seal Beach - a real charmer - leading to the very long Seal Beach Pier (way out over the ocean) with no commercial enterprises cluttering that pier. Back at Main Street - the old town area - you'll find plenty of outdoor cafes and interesting shops. My room was very clean, and if you ask about COVID measures taken, you'll hear a litany of thorough cleaning, disinfecting beyond the usual. The breakfast could be a tad bit "fancier", but it was a full breakfast, at least, compared to having a merely "Continental Breakfast". The staff even in the Breakfast Room was wonderfully helpful, as well as the Front Desk having very courteous and helpful staff. This is a complaint I have with any and all hotels who have this on their TV agendae as does Pacific Inn: pornography networks. As I was scrolling through the TV Guide, there was not "Adult Education", but instead, "Adult Entertainment", yet there was a good old Gideon Bible in a drawer by the bed where I happen to place my eyeglasses safely. Adult Entertainment - and - Bible. Go figure. Can we not pervert an otherwise beautiful and meaningful part of life? Please eliminate the "adult entertainment" scourge. How about a network about Art, instead; then you could squeeze in a segment about usually more tasteful "erotic" or "romantic" art?! From your prudish and fun customer :) Would like to visit again. Thank you for your attention and care. ----------------- btw.: re you below "policy": I WAS offered a $20 discount (for a future stay) for reviewing Pacific Inn; but, I was going to write this same review anyway. Family Staycation

Oct 20th, 2020

Awesome location. Everything we needed for a quick stay by the beach; pet friendly, clean, great service with a smile, pool, hot tub, beautiful short walk to the beach, shopping and awesome restaurants. We definitely will stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Depends on the room you get

Oct 18th, 2020

Basically, it comes down to this-if you can afford to get an oceanfront room, this place is awesome. Rooms are updated and fresh and the views are amazing. Ocean so loud you can't leave door open while you watch TV. I have stayed in a few oceanfront hotels and this view was the best. HOWEVER, if you have to stay in a room in the building that faces the street or the alley, don't bother! They are not updated, not nice at all and you will feel like you are staying in a cheap motel even though you payed over $200 a night. With all that being said, the staff is very nice and there are two restaurants that are right there in the same parking lot and have great food and drinks. There is a Ralph's and an awesome taco stand right across the street, and you can walk into the town also. So definitely recommended-just with a caveat : ) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A welcome surprise

Oct 11th, 2020

The Pacific Inn was a welcome surprise. It is in a great location. Older, but it has been updated. The rooms were roomy, and the balcony with chairs was nice to sit in and enjoy the outside. The clothesline was an added bonus! We were only able to be there one night, but we both decided we will come again and spend a few days walking the lovely town. Beach was close and wonderful, of course. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy, as well as the single chair bed. Pleasantly surprised by a few things! Want to have the time to use the pool next time. Breakfast was fresh and not continental - they had someone cooking or you could do the basic if you wanted. The microwave was missing a leg, but that was very minor compared to the cleanliness and excellent customer service we received. Highly recommend. There are stairs as well as an elevator, so you can take either one to get to your room or down to the lobby. Parking is outside under a covered area, which was nice as well. We will come here again!
