Stunning in every way.

My husband and I stayed at the Palace for three nights. The lobby decor is beautiful with contemporary art through out. In the evening a wonderful pianist plays in the gorgeous bar area... Our room was spectacular. We had a perfect view of the Palace Gardens and city and had a terrace as well. Everything is state of the art and the design and fabrics are very special. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Our room was a club floor booking and we were able to enjoy the most refined, elegant environment for breakfast, teatime and cocktail hour. We chose to have breakfast downstairs so we could enjoy full access to the gorgeous overflowing buffet. Everything that you could imagine is available and displayed beautifully. The club floor access for cocktails was a great and the views of Tokyo were stunning. Champagne, wines and beers are offered with different crudités, cheeses and various Japanese treats. We enjoyed the tea service on our last day when we returned to the hotel earlier to pack for our evening departure. I recommend booking a club floor room because it truly made our stay superb. We dined at the teppanyaki restaurant on our last night. It was excellent. I do not eat steak and the chef offered lobster instead. The careful and precise preparations of each course were interesting to watch and our dinners were delicious. The hotel is superb beyond words and we would absolutely stay here again. Location is excellent with a short and interesting walk to the Ginza area and close to the Maranouchi area. We booked the Peninsula Hotel as well and debated which hotel to stay at. I labored over the decision. I definitely made the correct choice. We walked over to see the Peninsula Hotel and it looked very tired. We travel a lot and can sincerely say that the Palace is among the top hotels of or recent travels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Superb.....

We had few nights in this hotel and I could see that the level of service is high. The reason I’m not giving 5 star rating is that I believe concierge service needs some more fine tuning....to be more accurate. Cleaning of the rooms is 5 ⭐️. Room amenities 5⭐️. Great touch the eye masks and the clean pyjamas every night! Breakfast is ok but I found some pastry’s to be little bit hard... The view from the room is really nice. Location is great as the metro is just under the hotel and practically you can go anywhere from there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

They don't call it the Palace Hotel for nothing!

Jul 2nd, 2019

The hotel may get its name from overlooking the Imperial Palace gardens, but it is a palace in its own right. I was hesitant to stay here based on reviews that said it was a business hotel, but to me, it was far from it. Three of us shared an enormous room with a bathroom nearly as large to go with it, and a balcony with a stupendous view of the Imperial Palace gardens and the high rises of Tokyo beyond. Admittedly, this was a splurge for a special birthday with two friends who were also celebrating this special birthday, and the Palace Hotel couldn't have made it more special for us, including sending up a platter of complimentary fruit and chocolates for our birthday and advising us on places to dine in Tokyo. If I were to return to Tokyo any other time, this is the place I would pick, although admittedly the Tokyo Station Hotel (where I also stayed and enjoyed) is probably more convenient to a train station. We enjoyed a stellar cocktail in the upper lounge--so good that I asked for the recipe and still make the drink at home now. Really, do yourself a favor and stay here if you can afford it. You won't regret it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

luxury in a great location

This was our first visit to Tokyo and we were not sure which district to stay in, this was a great choice. The location is a short walk from the railway station and there is access to the underground from the hotel. The hotel has a nice whisky bar and a cocktail bar with views over the imperial palace gardens. There are several restaurants, the Japenese restaurant is excellent and the European style on the ground floor also very good. We had a larger room with a balcony, which we used a lot. Room amenities very good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
