We had the most fantastic Goose (Gansl) lunch delivered to our home by the Kempinski. All the restaurants may be closed in Vienna, but this was a 5-star experience in our own home. A real treat during a strange year. The Goose was magnificently cooked, while the sides were fantastic. We also had some mulled wine. It was so good, that we are going to order in some Xmas food too. I highly recommend it. Treat yourself. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great hotel for a city break
Nov 30th, 2020
My husband and I stayed here for a 6 day city break booked with BA from 01/12 to 06/12. We opted for a deluxe room with breakfast included & had a great stay. The room was large (were allocated a corner room) & had a massive bed with the usual separate duvets (a great idea for those who normally suffer with duvet hoggers!), sofa, coffee table & corner desk with chair. Nespresso coffee machine was good for a quick drink before going down for breakfast. The lights etc are controlled by the switchs on the wall. Loved the mini tablet by the side of the bed for ordering eye masks etc. The bathroom was a decent size with underfloor heating & lots of counter space. The bath & shower are both controlled by the touch of a button, so much nicer than struggling to find that balance between either freezing or scalding. Breakfast was great & enjoyed being able to order a la carte as well as buffet items. There was the usual offerings available such as yoghurts, cereals, pastries & hot items cooked to order as well. Champagne available every morning too if so inclined. The location of the hotel is great, a 15-20 minute walk into the main shopping area & the nearest underground a short walk away (turn right outside of hotel entrance & keep walking straight down the road towards the river). It was also walking distance to one of the main Christmas Markets. Loved the staff here from housekeeping to the front desk, nothing was too much trouble. Try the cocktails in the lobby bar of an evening as well - best Mai Tai so far. The only slight downside was the OPEC conference was on when we stayed so sometimes breakfast was busier than normal & on occasion the delegates took up all the seating in the lobby during the day so no afternoon tea for us. Would love to come back for another visit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lovely Business Hotel
Oct 3rd, 2020
I was there on business in one of my favourite cities in the world. This was my first time at a Kempinski and it was a lovely experience. The location was convenient to everything. I did not have a chance to try any of the amenities or the dining in the hotel but from what I saw it was as it should be from a luxury hotel of this calibre. I appreciated the fact that the bathroom were spacious and had a separate shower and bathtub. Thank you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The name ‚Kempinski‘ should already tell you everything you have to know. Being part of the oldest European luxury hotel chain, the Palais Hansen Kempinski has no trouble living up to its reputation. Located conveniently close to many sightseeing spots, restaurants and shopping streets, it impresses with its mixture of traditional elegance and modern simplicity. The rooms are impeccable, as is the rest of the hotel. However, the highest praise must be given to the staff. Reception, housekeeping, room service and the concierge division are all beyond friendly and work seemlessly together. Their friendliness and dedication is second to none, making sure all your needs are being taken care off. The in-house spa deserves a special mention as well, offering a range of treatments to those seeking out its services. The prices reflect the quality of the residence, but rest assured you won’t regret a single cent spent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lovely hotel, great staff, fantastic room!
Mar 9th, 2020
We stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary Friday to Sunday. The hotel was relatively quiet and we were very happy to receive a substantial upgrade for our room. We stayed in suite 329 which had its own lounge, free mini bar with soft drinks, tea and coffee facilities, large tv (limited English channels) good size bedroom with another tv, the bed was comfortable, however, the pillows were awful. They had a tablet next to the bed where you can order extra items such as blankets, pillows (there is a pillow menu!). There were 3 large wardrobes with mirrors in different areas of the suite, dressing gowns and the comfiest slippers we have had, a bath and separate shower which was amazing and both had touch menus instead of taps which was great. There are key cards to access the lift to get to your floor and your room. We used the pool area, however, only once, quickly as the pool was small and quite cold. There was a sauna (60 degrees) and a separate Finnish sauna (90 degrees) and a wet room. There was a gym but we didn’t use this, however, the equipment looked good. We paid extra for the buffet breakfast and it wasn’t as vast as we have experienced in other 5* hotels but it was fine. They had juicers so you can do your own juices which was good. The service we received throughout our stay was exceptional. They were very happy to help and very friendly. We were able to get taxis just outside and the door staff arranged this for us as and when needed. Umbrellas were available as it was raining on and off during our stay. The location was good with links close by and a tube stop at the bottom of the road. The Cafe Landtmann was about 10 minutes walk. There was a supermarket also about 10 minutes away.
