Wonderful views

Seating outside by the marina is a must. The staff are so friendly! Our meals were delish. The water views so captivating with a relaxing vibe. A definate must just beside Coconut Grove area. Major renos in near future to both hotel and restaurant. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

hidden gem

Most people would never discover this place, as it has no signage on Bayshore Drive and it is on the North side of this tiny island. Room was extremely capacious, a bit dated on the amenities (haven't seen a bedside Bose CD player without any phone support in years), and could use a little TLC to fix peeling paint. A/C marched to its own drummer, seemed to stop working in the middle of the night. Reasonable parking fee. All this said, I would give it another try because it has a lot to offer. It's Nice, But ...

Feb 15th, 2019

I've never written a review for a hotel before checking out, but ... here goes. What inspired me to write this was the fact that next door right now, there's another guest yelling his damn head off at someone, so I called the front desk -- but then I was reminded that NO ONE EVER PICKS UP THE PHONE AT THE FRONT DESK. That's been the case since I checked in two days ago. Furthermore, forget about ordering room service, because -- spoiler alert -- no one picks up the phone there either. Ever. Then let's discuss the fact that every single person I've encountered here in the bar or restaurant has been a well-meaning but mindless, careless dolt. I'm sorry, but it's true. Seriously, folks. You can hire better than this. Is it nice? Yes. Room is beautiful and well-kept. But forget about service, kid, 'cause guess what -- you're not getting any. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Big Letdown!

Feb 12th, 2019

For such a great location, this hotel falls completely flat. Check in was a pain because key machine wasn't working. Front desk girl was doing her homework and offered Zero about the hotel. I had to find out on my own that the pool was on the complete other side, hot tub was cold (Ok it's January but still, can't heat it?), and the Spa was closed. And the $15 Mandatory Valet? Well if you check out in the morning like most people, you have to go find your car in the garage outside . Great way to start your morning before work, hauling your luggage across the grounds to find your car someplace. Your "hotel bill" is actually just a credit card receipt. The positives? Location of course - dead on the water with killer views from the restaurant. Despite the lack of service, the food was still good. So many better options in Miami, why waste the money. Ok I will try to make a simple list of my experiences. Getting into the property you need to go through a guard shack which is a slight hassle. You immediately get charged a tax and a valet fee (more on that) The hotel is isolated but only 1 restaurant and their closed on mondays. Toilet ran most of the night. Room temp isnt actually adjustable. Ok so the valet charge of $15 per day and they dont actually get your car. Each morning about 0630 i had to go find a staff member then they had to find my keys. Then I had to go find my car lol. They have a facade of a nice restaurant but that's all it is. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
