great location

Apr 24th, 2019

The hotel is located in a nice location, close to all the shopping malls. Rooms are a tad old. The hotel breakfast is average with no egg station. You have to order your eggs from the waitress and they will prepare separately in the kitchen. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel but...

Apr 23rd, 2019

Stayed at the Parc 55 for three days. We are part of the Hilton Honors. Room was a nice size and very clean. The hotel is definitely geared to the business and airline crowd as the bar/lobby area was always filled with suits and flight crew members. Not a particularly fun or relaxing hotel for families. However, there is a roof top pool at the Hilton across the street for all Parc guests. We never took advantage of it as we were busy all day and night. The location was ideal for all the places we needed to go. Easy access to all forms of transportation including the beloved cable cars. But unfortunately the city itself has really gone downhill in recent years. Especially this particular side of Union Square. Way too many homeless people and drug addicts have taken over the streets. It was shocking compared to our last visit from two years ago. But this isn’t Hilton’s fault. And we did see plenty of the same throughout the entire city and many nice hotels. One final thought was the bell person. Most we had contact with at Parc were excellent. However, there was one in particular that absolutely did not want to assist us with storing our luggage. He was muttering the entire time. Even as my husband, two older teen boys and I were carrying the luggage up the stairs and into the storage room for him. Perhaps he was having a difficult day. But we are also a very mindful, considerate and appreciative family who tip well. His behavior made us really uncomfortable. We did make this known to the staff as we checked out our bags later in the day before headed to SFO. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location & view!

Apr 22nd, 2019

This was our second stay at Parc 55. The hotel once again exceeded our expectations. All of the hotel staff were wonderful from check in to housekeeping and the valet! We had a room on a high floor this stay and the views were spectacular! I love that the hotel is right next to Union Square, the cable cars and trains. There is city noise but I expect that in any large city with taller buildings. The elevator system is great now that you enter a floor so they are never packed and there's not a long wait. Everything in the hotel was very clean and well kept. I will definitely stay again on my next San Francisco trip! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good hotel but in the worst part of town

Apr 22nd, 2019

We were very pleased with the Parc55 hotel, good room, polite staff and great views. However we were shocked to find such a prestigious hotel was just inside the most notorious part of San Francisco, something we didn’t even think was necessary to check when booking. It is not Hiltons fault and most of the other big brands seem to be in this general area also. I have personally never seen so many people actually living on the streets in any city and I have lived in the three largest in the UK. Generally they were not begging but were sleeping straight on the pavement or taking drugs or even going to the toilet right there on the streets. The most prestigious shops and hotels were all in close proximity so choose your hotel with care when you book! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

If you REALLY like being harassed by aggressive street people . . .

Apr 22nd, 2019

I don't know how these folks arrived at such a sorry state, but they will block your way to try to get whatever they can from you. Rooms are nice. Staff are nice. Stepping outside the front door of this place is NOT. If my employer asks that I stay here again, I will refuse. The nice rooms, for me, do not make up for the harassment. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
