Cruise Ship Chic

Jul 14th, 2020

At my most recent stay, I was lucky enough to have the Presential Suite. Which was awesome - thanks. Yes, the hotel feels like a cruise ship with its art deco vibe and large rooms but it makes it unique. One of my favorite hotels around the world, only due to the staff and the memories I have made at this property. If you are looking for a technology-equipped hotel maybe stay at the crown but if you are looking for an old school hotel with good service, great rooms, and a bit of quiet time - Park Hyatt Melbourne is your choice. Do yourself a favor and book through a Hyatt Prive agent, after coming to this property for years and receiving minimal benefits, the Hyatt Prive agency was able to provide good benefits and quick service. Brilliant

Absolutely fabulous hotel - loved the stay, the rooms were great and the service was impeccable. Will 100% stay again if I am in Melbourne. The location is great too - right in the heart of town. Try the cocktails in the bar! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No acoustic drop seal as required by the building code. Mouldy fruit. No privacy

Jul 3rd, 2020

I went with my partner and baby last weekend 27/06. Horrible experience and payed almost 1k. My baby woke up all night because of the lack of door acoustic drop seal required for class 3 building by the building code of australia. The light from the corridor came right into the room under the door. And we could hear everything. In one single evening, people came in unannounced to the room 3 times. Turning on the lights and waking up my baby. Front office had the nurve to say that if the privacy button is not on, people will get in unannounced. Have I been worned about this protocol when i came in? Nope. No one has even walke us through the privacy button feature or air-conditioning controls or wifi settings. Nothing. There are about 20 different hyatt wifi networks and only one of them is the right one. No wifi information is displayed or explaind by a hyatt rep. The maintenance on the building is crap. Not even a 2 star hotel has burned downlights. They gave us a mouldy strawberry on the food platter we ordered. I enjoy going to romantic scapes with my girlfriend to nice hotels. This is definitely the worst hotel by far. I lost my money and my time planned to be a nice evening with my family. I made a complaint at check out and they asked us to write an email to socialcare@hyatt.com. I wrote them an email explaining and till today no response. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

5 stars

Apr 14th, 2020

Looks a bit like office block from some parts (except when arriving via the main entrance) but inside it’s a world away. Certainly five star rooms. And six star service. I love the dog that they have at the front lobby. We patted him each day as we had left our dog in a kennel to fly over to Australia. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Position

Mar 28th, 2020

Given the circumstances of a Wedding postponement the Park Hyatt was a very pleasant hotel to stay. The staff were friendly and professional. The food and beverages served in the Club Lounge were enough for our needs. The breakfast was particularly varied and tasty. Our room had all the essential facilities. I would be pleased to return to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
