Excellent Customer Service

I was booked in for a night stop but developed a cold/Covid symptoms & cancelled on the advice of the hotel. They were extremely helpful & refunded my money without any problem at all. This is exactly the service one would expect. Excellent. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Definitely recommend! The staff were lovely, kind and very helpful. The hotel was amazing the only problem was the bed. There kept being a little gap between the two single beds that were pushed together to make a double but other than that it was brilliant! Thankyou very much TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not up to Radisson standards

Stayed 2 nights for a quick breakaway, the hotel itself is tired, as mentioned in previous reviews terrible stains everywhere. The saving grace is the staff, Laura on reception is superb as are the 2 ladies who worked the breakfast shift on the 3rd ( sorry didn't catch your names). had an issue with people next room smoking on the balcony which Laura sorted out by moving me. The food is very good and glad to see Covid measures. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were invited back to The Palace for our first anniversary after we had our wedding here last year which was just as we hoped and without fault which was all thanks to the staff. On this occasion we had a better room than last time with uninterrupted views out to the west of the estuary and beyond and a private balcony. The room was spotless and maintained to a good level and the staff had kindly decorated it with banners, anniversary card, bottle of prosecco on ice and drinks vouchers for the bar. The reduced food and drink menu due to covid offered a good selection and the food was cooked well and was full of flavour. The only negative thing we would be able to mention if we were pushed to do so would be the communial corridors walls and carpets looking old and in need of some TLC. There were good Covid measures and sanitising stations throughout, staff wearing PPE and we felt safe at all times. Special thanks to James as the friendly Manager on duty, Laura who was front of house on our arrival and had taken the time to note we were returning guests and to Lily & Morgan in the restaurant who were so happy and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. We would of just been happy with the room but the staff really did make the stay for us, they made us feel so welcome and valued especially during these challenging times for the hospitality sector. Excellent time and we will be returning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Needs a face-lift!

Just spend 3 nights away with family. Hotel reception clean and modern but the minute you walk out into corridors the carpet stains are plentiful. I'm not talking small stains, they were huge in places like someone had split paint and not even attempted to clean up. Unfortunately this theme continues into both bedrooms. Additionally both rooms weren't clean, skirting boards looked like they had never been cleaned - thick with dust. Whilst the bed furniture and walls looked like they had been recently updated, the chairs in room needed replacing. I can't fault the comfort of the beds though and linen was exceptionally clean so we did have fantastic sleep. Windows could do with replacing as the wind bellowed through when closed and the curtains moved with the draft. Although both rooms were huge as we had booked superior, I was shocked there were no wardrobes, just 3 long hooks and 2 coat hangers. There was plenty of space for a wardrobe so very confusing why there wasn't one. Breakfast was pretty average, I have had just as good in a Premier Inn. Covid measure were reassuring although shame to see many people not wearing face coverings and staff not challenging. All in all a pretty average stay at a pretty pricey £105 per night. I have stayed in many Radisson hotels and this one is certainly below usual standards. Next time I would stay in a Premier Inn, better value for money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
