Walking distance to Disney, clean rooms.

Feb 21st, 2020

Wasn't prepared for the pressure of signing up to a presentation for a timeshare. Extreme pressure but still able to walk away. Location was great and room had dishes, larger fridge, sink etc to prepare food for the kids. Though they didn't clean the room until the 3rd day, they provided towels each day so it was an easy adjustments. Area was quiet and seemed safe, even walking back at 1am from Disneyland. I would stay again for these reasons. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It Not Your Typical Hotel, Read Before Booking

Feb 9th, 2020

Rooms are small and a bit tight but appear updated. Location is a reasonable distance to Disneyland and is walkable or an easy Uber ride. Staff are friendly. It’s a Shell Vacation Club / Wyndham property so it’s important you know: 1. They will try to get you to sign-up for a presentation right after they hand you the keys. Not a typical experience if your looking for just a room. 2. Because it’s a vacation club and not a hotel, tidy service doesn’t happen till day 3. They didn’t tell us that when we checked in for 2 nights. We had 5 people in a room for 6. You need housekeeping service in that situation. 3. It has a pool and spa. Both are smaller than you are probably mentally picturing. They’re nice, just be prepared. There is also a rooftop recreation area. 4. There are restaurants and a 7-11 within a 1/4 block. Lots of good choices. 5. Neighbor seems safe although like most of Anaheim there are some homeless scattered about. They were not aggressive at all. Important Tip: If you’re taking an Uber from Disneyland to the hotel (any hotel) walk across the street and then up the pick up address of iHop from the app. Too many Uber drivers get so frustrated trying to get into the ride share lot at Disney the give up and drop your ride; not cancel. That means you have to file a complaint against the driver to get a refund for the charge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wasn't impressed

Feb 2nd, 2020

In making my reservation thru Cancelon (a third party vendor) I did not see anywhere in the information that this hotel was a timeshare and as such they would be trying to get me to sit down for a presentation upon check-in. Thankfully, they weren't pushy and we didn't attend the presentation. The bathtub was completely clogged the first morning and water filled the tub as I showered. Spoke to the front desk and they did fix it right away. They only do housekeeping every three days unless you ask for more. Don't have a problem with them not making my bed for 3 days, however, shampoos need to be restocked, coffee needed restocking. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and I did enjoy having the bedroom separate from the living room/kitchenette. Also enjoyed that the sink/vanity area was outside of the shower/toilet area so two people could be getting ready at same time. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't stay there again. Walking distance to Disney Parks

Jan 29th, 2020

Cute location just a walk away from the Disney Parks and Downtown Disney. You cannot beat the convenience! The staff was very helpful, and there were plenty of dining choices at the mall between you and Disney. We never touched the car the whole time we were there! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another nice stay at the Peacock

Jan 25th, 2020

I have stayed at this property many times over the years as a Shell Owner. It hasa always been a nice property with a decent location. The rooms were clean and everything functiuoned well. I had 2 issues: 1. The 3 bedroom condo was much smaller than I expected the bedrooms were fine but the living area, if you could call it that consisted of a 2 seat sofa and a small round table with 4 chairs. This would be hard to deal with if you had 6 people staying there. We did not so it was not a big deal but be wary of the unit size if you have large party. 2. I also was hit with 2 additional parking charges when I was ther for 4 nights with only 1 car. Furtunately I reviewed my bill at checkout and caught it. My biggest complaint was that the clerk tried to challenge my denial of a second vehicle. This was not good customer service. Now it may be that random people park there for events an just make up a room number but I don't know. Keep in mind that the valet system was not in place my previous visits so parking had been free. Overall I like the property and it is walking distance to most of the places you would like to go. I agree the ART busses are a bit unreliable but eventually they do show up. Enjoy uyour stay at the Peacock! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
