Very good hotel

Jul 22nd, 2019

I booked this hotel and it’s been a very good choice. The pool was shut down due to vomit. The maintenance people were very good about shocking it good and trying to get it open for guests as soon as possible. My hubby got 6 beers (3 were for me) for “kickback.” Free! That in itself is about 25-30 bucks a day. The manager was very professional when we checked in. They had all kinds of complimentary food between 5:30-9. Snacks-popcorn, nachos, salsa. Very impressed. Can’t wait to eat breakfast in the morn. I would give it 10 stars for the price! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good stay

Jul 22nd, 2019

Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the free happy hour/snack time in the evening - nice bonus. Went to a game at Busch stadium and was pleased that there was a shuttle on site to take there ($2/person each way for adults, no charge for kids). Breakfast was expansive and efficient based on all the people who stay at the hotel -- very impressive. Very nice staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice experience, lots of extras!

Jul 21st, 2019

Location was very close to the things we wanted to see. Checkin was quick and easy, room key worked properly. Requested a roll away cot and got it quickly with no hassle. Extra towels: no problem! Could see the arch from the end of our hallway. Very nice full self-serve breakfast included (even waffles, once we found the additional dining room). Fountain drinks and coffee available virtually all day. Snack time from 5:30-7:00 included popcorn, chips and salsa, potato chips, pop, and a ticket for 3 adult beverages per person! WiFi worked well in room and in lobby. Plenty of towels at the pool. Hot tub was nice, though the jets were out of order one afternoon. Staff was friendly, helpful, and on top of things. When we suddenly need an additional room at 11:00 one night, one was available. Microwave and fridge made leftovers an option, which was very nice for our family of 5! I would definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Vacation in St. Louis

Jul 19th, 2019

My wife and I have been to St. Louis a couple of times before but this was our first time at this hotel. Upon getting there, we found that one of the two elevators was out of order. It was a pain dealing with but their new maintenance man, Cortez was super helpful to us in navigating the stairs and with recommendations of area restaurants. We were given a card good for three free adult beverages during their happy hour each day...a nice perk to have a few drinks prior to heading to the Cardinals game. They have complimentary coffee and soda all day and night in the lobby. Parking was free and in a gated lot on site. It’s rare to find free parking in a downtown hotel, so this was a huge perk. Room was clean. A bit dated, but honestly, I was there to see the city, not study the hotel room. TV had plenty of channels to help entertain my 17month old son (including PBS kids). Bathroom was small, but that shower head was amazing with pressure. This hotel is easily no more than 15 minutes to most places (tourist sites, shopping, stadium) and close to highways. A definite plus. We felt very safe here. I’d easily walk around if it hadn’t been raining for most of our stay. The restaurant attached to the hotel offered a cheap shuttle to Busch stadium which was nice to not have to worry about. Overall, we’ll likely choose to stay here again the next time we visit St. Louis. Besides the first night with the non-working elevator (by the way, it was repaired the next morning), we couldn’t have been happier with the place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Expected Better

Jul 18th, 2019

At first glance the hotel and the room both looked great. The hotel had ample security and the lobby was clean. After entering our room we were impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom and how the space was efficiently used. I walked in the room barefoot and stepped on a piece of old gum that was still a little sticky and that started the downturn for use. The sheets are the sofa bed had holes in them and the pillow cases had some stains. The bathroom had no fan or vent so the door needed to be left open for showers. At breakfast there were no pancakes or waffles. Instead they had biscuits and gravy, which I suppose is not out of place in Missouri, but left us with few options before we hit the road. Unlikely to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
