Perfect location for holiday fun.

Dec 9th, 2019

We had been to Penn's View before, so we decided to give it a try for a holiday trip to Philly. Antonio the manager is phenomenal. He is efficient, and very personable. He made us smile every day. This hotel is small but the rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is perfect for walking to the waterfront area, and all the historic sites. When you first pull up you may cringe, it is located on Front Street which runs along side I 95. Don't despair it was not noisy inside the hotel. There is a private parking area near the hotel so if you are not using public transportation there is convenient parking for a fee right outside the door. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Cozy hotel in great location

Dec 3rd, 2019

Stayed here 3 nights over Thanksgiving and loved it. Friendly staff, cozy clean room with comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was ample and delicious. The scones are great, the chocolate muffins incredible and there was plenty of fresh fruit , eggs and cereal as well . I really do not expect more than that for a continental breakfast. The parking right next door was convenient and at $28 per day not too expensive. The parking attendants were helpful and friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel in the older part of city about 6 blocks from Independence Hall. Very nice room, comfy bed and nice breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. We spent the afternoon noon exploring and then collapsed in our wonderful room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Cute little boutique hotel

Nov 7th, 2019

I had searched high and low and everything was booked in Philadelphia the weekend I visited. I stumbled upon this little hotel and it's historic look and the area is what drew me in. The room was adorable with a gas fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. I loved that it was old fashioned and you used an actual key to get in your room. They were very nice and held our bags for 7 hours before check in and kept them in a locked room along with others...and also an entire day after check out due to our flights. They were helpful with places to go in the area and extremely polite. Only two negatives that I have are the following: Our room (308) was adorable but it did not have a fridge. This was disappointing as we had nowhere to store leftovers and had to throw them away. Secondly, I feel need they need to upgrade their breakfast a little. The only choices were cereal, breads, muffins, some fruit and hard boiled eggs. I realize that is a continental breakfast, however, much cheaper hotels are at least providing sausage or some type of eggs or at least a waffle maker. It was very basic for the money. Just a little disappointing. Everything else was superb! Will stay again and will recommend!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Poor Service, Rooms not in good condition

Nov 5th, 2019

This was my second time here, and I'm guessing my last. They did not have my reservation when I arrived, even though it was confirmed. Their google system for reservations is unprofessional. But the real downside is when they found it, they put me into a very small "jr. Suite" that did not have a Queen bed as advertised, and the bathtub drain didn't work, so it was completely full, and unusable. And when we checked out at 6:30 a.m., there was no one at the desk. A sign of "we'll be back soon" (and they weren't) left. They did not even discount the room after all of that. Disgraceful. I do not recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
