rude staff at reception

Rude supervisor Maria at reception. I have never been treated this way, especially in the hotel that claims to be 4 star! Broken commitment from other member of the staff for stay extension in specific room. Watch out for any room that is lower than on 7th floor. You will hear noise from Air Conditioners and may not be able to sleep well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
first return in 6 years

We were in the Tuscany Tower, 14th floor. Nice room, quiet and worth the money, but too many taxes and fees. Dinner reservations required. Sports Book was disappointing. Chairs are lousy and very little direction. No advanced odds on the Preakness or future basketball. I don't think they should allow coolars brought in. Pool is great and clean with good service. Great family trip for me (83 years old) with my son. Thanks. Grossepointeflash TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Way To Start A Road Trip 2020

A nice return. Bonnie at the front desk welcomed us and took care of everything in a flash. We were whisked off to the Imperial Suite I had booked and were greeted by a wraparound view of greater Reno and a nicely appointed room. Three TVs and an extra large bathroom filled the bill. There was a steam/shower combo that had me thinking of a bathroom remodel once I got home. The next outstanding feature of the room as the Jacuzzi> Overlooking the mountains to the east and downtown to the north. What a nice way to kick off your 2020 vacation, a nice long hot soak. The bed was the real deal. Like sleeping on a cloud. And to finish things off, room service on Saturday morning before hitting the road. Checkout was handled via the TV and away we went. We are already trying to figure out when our next visit will be. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

After much consideration, I decided to spend my 55th birthday at the Peppermill. We previously stayed at this resort earlier this year in a luxury suite in the Peppermill Tower. We were absolutely blown away at the room. We were able to book the luxury suite during a sale. Because of the pandemic, I wanted to stay in a veranda suite. They are located in the Tuscany Tower. Here's my review of this stay: Covid Compliance: Of course, safety was a big concern for me in these times. It took a lot of thoughts and prayers to even decide to book a stay for my birthday. I would like to say that the resorts management of safety protocols was good. I felt safe in the casino, restaurants and the rooms. There were sanitizing stations throughout and strict admonishment to those guests who removed their masks. Check-In: Check in was smooth. I was standing in line when staff directed me to a self-serve kiosk. He told me I needed my driver's license as well as my credit card to use the kiosk. We moved out of line and followed him to the kiosk. What he failed to tell me is that you also need to have your confirmation number handy as well. Because of his omission, we were directed to the front of the line. Room: I loved being in the Tuscany Tower. If I didn't want to go to the casino I didn't have to. The Tuscany Tower had a pool area, spa, restaurants and bars. Here's where my stay left me disappointed. I specifically wanted a Veranda Suite for a few reasons. The most important was so that I could have a space to relax outdoors within the privacy of my room. This was a huge disappointment. At check-in, they stated the they had a "garden view" veranda room available. This sounds amazing. The alternative is a veranda room facing the pool. There is a huge waterfall fountain in the "garden" which created a nice background noise. The "garden" consisted of faux grass and faux flowers and a walkway that is accessible to staff, guests and apparently random people that wandered off the street. The view was an apartment complex across the street. There is an employee entrance there that got busy during shift change. Bottom line, it wasn't the relaxing space I thought it would be. This was so disappointing I ended up cutting my stay short. Something that I have NEVER done before. The rest of the room was nicely appointed. There was a refrigerator, keurig coffee maker, a jetted tub in the spacious bathroom. It was kind of odd that the keurig was located in the bathroom instead of in the actual room. To sum up, my birthday weekend didn't go as planned. However, I would stay at the Peppermill again. I just will not pay additional money to stay in a veranda suite or patio suite. Beautiful hotel clean, large rooms. Well maintained. Lots of eatery options without leaving. Waits for check in are long but other than that it has been a great visit 4 days no issues. They are following many protocols to keep guest safe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
