Resort does not have any dining venues

Located by Stoney Lake in Lakefield, Ontario, a small town situated roughly 95 miles northeast of Toronto, Pine Vista Resort woos travelers interested in a quiet, nature-focused getaway. This expansive property, which is next to 150-plus acres and features 25 seasonal campsites and 25 cottages, is home to a beach (complete with a playground and sand volleyball court) and nearly 5 miles of trails ideal for walking, running and biking. Seasonal activities available here include ice skating, kayaking, fishing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides. Once you've had your fill of nature, unwind with a massage, break a sweat in the fitness center or play pingpong, billiards or air hockey in the game room. (But keep in mind, this resort does not have any on-site eateries.) Then, retreat to your rustic cottage. Each has 396 to 1,500 square feet of space, as well as a traditional or wood stove fireplace, a TV with a DVD player, free internet access, a kitchen and a private deck. Couples and families alike enjoyed staying at this property, citing its well-equipped accommodations, ample activities and friendly staff as highlights. However, some bemoaned the resort's spotty Wi-Fi access.
