Love the look of the outside and loved the character of the interior. The lobby was takes you back in time with very lovely pieces. Was disappointed with paying the same for a room that was surpose to have breakfast and wine and cheese canceled. The room was clean, bed was very nice.would recommend staying here. Loved Savannah ❣️❤️

This historical city is such a great place to visit to realize how the colonies were formed at the beginning of our great nation . The square layout with 24 squares throughout the historical district is amazing to see. The many materials used in the Historical architecture are beautiful and amazing...iron , steel, and copper arches accent these homes. The river district is amazing also with it's 40 plus feet drop from street level and ballast streets. We rode rented bikes, a pedicab, and the Olde Savannah Trolley tour while also walking throughout the city. All three cemeteries are so fascinating...Laurel Grove, Colonial, and especially Bonaventure The convenience of the Tybee Island beach 30 minutes away is another plus !! Definitely going back soon ! I ♥️ Savannah TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful Spot

Apr 3rd, 2020

The location of this place was great; we walked all over the downtown area. It is an older, historic property, so some of that age does show on the inside...small potatoes for all the good it does have. The staff are all very friendly. We had the 2 twin bed room. Everything was very clean but a bit worn in some places. The bed post was cracked and tilting a bit. The bedding was clean and comfortable, with a nice chair and daily newspapers. In the evening, there is a wine and cheese reception in the lobby with nice snacks. The breakfast area was a bit small, so go early or be prepared to wait a bit. Some folks took plates back to their rooms. There was always very good fresh fruit with staff on hand helping you out and keeping things stocked. There is a parking lot across the street, so you do have to pay daily, but it is valet with free in/out during your stay (we never used the car)..think it was 30 bucks a day?? This is common in many downtown areas. The bellmen were all super nice! Overall, this place is a gem. We stayed 2 nights and paid 262.43, minus parking and tips. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Could do better

Mar 24th, 2020

Pros: * very friendly&helpful staff * good location * easy parking * many eating places close by - Henry's in particular Cons: * only one elevator working - and that one understandably used by the cleaning staff in the morning * marginal breakfast * no ice machine - ice supplied by the reception or evening cleaning maid TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Shabby Chic comfort at the heart of everything

Mar 19th, 2020

Don't expect grandeur, but get friendly, comfortable accommodation within walking distance of everything Savannah has to offer. The weekday 4pm wine and cheese was excellent wind down from a day out, with piano accompaniment (and sing along if you wish, we did) Breakfast is a bit unimaginative and there is no restaurant, but nearby Henry's, and the Olde Pink House take care of that if you're not up to exploring the rest of the city. The free city bus link swings past the door every twenty minutes and the parking garage is just across the street. All in all a great place for a visit. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
