Very Comfortable & Fully Loaded Suite

Jul 1st, 2019

My husband & I spent 5 nights in a very comfortable & well equipped suite at Playa de Sol. We were greeted by the suite manager, shown where to park, & escorted to our rental unit. She showed us the fully equipped kitchen which included olive oil, vinegar, salt pepper, condiments, Perrier, a bottle of wine, & much more. We found the beds to be very comfortable. There were lots of towels available. We loved the balcony over-looking an inner courtyard of flowers, shrubs, & trees. The balcony had a BBQ on which we cooked ribs for dinner. It also, had seating & a table. We found our suite to be very quiet until the last night. We were awoken by a bachelorette party in the wee hours. This is not the fault of the owner so, I did not deduct any stars. But, management should not be allowing evening events as quiet time starts @ 10 PM. We were thrilled that it was a no smoking property. We were disappointed that the pool of was filled with babies in diapers & tons of children under six years old. We opted not to use it! The proximity to lots of interesting restaurants, grocery stores, the park, the lake beach, walking trails, shopping & more was excellent. The private, secured under-ground parking was much appreciated. We would consider staying at this property in the future. It was a perfect base for exploring the wineries in the Kelowna area. Good location to lake but a TON of rules

Jun 17th, 2019

Family of 4 stayed in a 1 bed and den. However den had no windows and not very welcoming so kids slept on the pull out in the living room. Very dark suite overall so the lights had to be turned on all the time. We were hoping for a relaxing stay at Playa Del Sol, however we felt quite badgered by all the rules posted. Yes, many are legitimate, however every time we turned a corner, there was another sign. Sitting by the pool on the Saturday evening of our stay while the kids were swimming, we couldn't even enjoy an adult beverage in a plastic cup as a security guard came through the pool area 3 times in 1 hour. Beautiful location for a family vacation.

May 9th, 2019

My family rented one of the 2 bed, 2 bath, and den, through Air B&B last summer, 2018 and again this year. The pool area is monitored and felt safe with three young children. The pool was wonderful as it did not have the typical burn your nose and eyes chlorine so the children played in the pool for hours. Family friendly with people of all ages. The room was well equipped, and the owner and cleaners very accommodating for those with scent sensitives. The building is large and wraps around the property, so of course you will need to get acclimatized. We enjoyed barbecuing on the deck, slept in cozy beds, and my family asked if we could stay longer next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very depressing.

Feb 4th, 2019

I honestly do not see why people think this is a good place to be? Yes, it is clean but it is one of the most depressing places I have stayed. The décor is charcoal and dark brown, the front entrance is basically a loading dock and the building itself is a complete maze. It is in a nice area and close to the lake but it is the furthest thing from a “summer retreat” that I can think of. Expect nothing to be left for you when you arrive. They provide a roll or two of the cheapest paper towels, the worst toilet paper and nothing but a salt and pepper shaker. Could they not throw in a coffee filter or two?? I honestly think that they purposely make the rooms look depressing so that people will wander out of the rooms in a miserable fog, get lost in their maze-like hallways and then the management rents their room out again from under them! Yes I am kidding but you may want to think of another place to stay, especially for the amount they charge. Except for the fact that the rooms were clean, I would have given them 2 stars. Great location!

Nov 10th, 2018

We booked through Booking.com for three nights and were very happy with our choice. Overall, the building is a maze to access the parking and main entrance, but it gets easier with time. Our unit had two bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, living room, a private balcony with a BBQ and washer and dryer. All of the required amenities were available in the kitchen. We loved the fact that we could walk to four restaurants and to the beach. Nothing was too far to access by car including downtown and West Kelowna. The management company was very accommodating. A great stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
