Dark, dank and a bit musty. Near casinos and restaurants and river walk BUT I personally wouldn't walk around on my own. Around the corner from a heroin rehab and a lot of homelessness. The hotel itself isn't bad. There was a used washcloth hanging over the shower head when we arrived in the room which made me wonder about the cleanliness in general. Staff was helpful and we had nice side trips to Tahoe and Virginia City. Don't think I'll return to Reno though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice Old Hotel

The hotel is older but very clean. Covid had many of the amenities shut down except for the indoor pool. There is a gated parking garage. It is by the river walk but there are many homeless people there. The room was nice. Shower was a bit small but clean. Television has basic cable but no movie or streaming channels. My wife I stayed here in late June. Our room was like the pictures on the website! The staff was nice and helpful. If you want a nice place to stay in Reno; come here. Iwould not hesitate to stay here again if we come back to Reno! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Besides the Covid pandemic shutting down most of the amenities, the room was great with a great view. The price was really good as long as you remember the parking and resort fee which isn't unreasonable. Great location for downtown and the rest of Reno. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Booked this hotel through our timeshare and we had a great experience. The hotel and staff are following total protocol for COVID-19. We had a room with a full kitchen well worth it. The hotel is just a few steps from the Truckee River. There's a small bridge to cross. There is an area where you see homeless people so i would not suggest to walk over the bridge at night a bit sketchy. Restaurant and gym are closed but the indoor pool is opened. We used the pool and we were the only people. The pool is well heated and a good size for swimming laps. We enjoyed the pool very much. Hotel is walking distance to restaurants which have outdoor seating. Some nice restaurants have a nice view of the Truckee River. The hotel is only about 40 minutes to North Tahoe. Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista are opened masks required but you can rent Kayaks, SUP, etc at many locations. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
