Nice rooms

Feb 15th, 2020

Nice, Big rooms. Swift check in/out. Loved the gadgety remotes for everything. Nice location. Good price Asked for a king bed, got twins. Ventilation/heat/ac very noisy. COLD floors in the bathroom. Don’t think they have cleaned under the beds for a couple of months. Lots of dust/filth there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very poor customer service, rude staff

Feb 14th, 2020

Writing this while I’m still at Park Plaza Riverbank. Have been waiting for room service over hour and a half. When called to check what was happening with my order. asking politely, I was told by very rude member of staff that he was busy and asked me what I wanted. Earlier have been waiting at reception desk to ask something- few members of staff talked among themselves ignoring me. Other reception staff passed too ignoring me. There was just one person they’ve been helping so they were it busy at all. Previous night security guard ordered (not asked) me in rude way to walk around area that was previously cleaned - I was doing it anyway. So... at every single contact with staff at Park Plaza Riverbank I felt like they were doing me a favor letting me stay in their hotel and that I should not bother them with any question, and not be around in general... it is first time in my life, and I travel a LOT, that I felt so unwelcome in a hotel. As reminder - this is a 4 star downtown London hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another great stay

Feb 12th, 2020

As a regular visitor to the hotel, I am rarely left disappointed by the rooms, restaurant or service. Sukie at reception is always extremely helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble when I have questions about my stay, helping ensure my visit is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Modern, laid back and classy

Feb 10th, 2020

We visited here the Saturday/Sunday of storm Ciara. We arrived mid-afternoon on the Saturday. The hotel lobby is very modern and spacious. We were greeted by a friendly team with a good sense of humour. Our room was a twin although we wanted a double - we were offered an upgrade but glad we stuck with the twin as the beds were practically together anyway and we had a fantastic view of the bleak Thames. The bathroom was gorgeous - with a big walk in shower and separate bath. We were quite disappointed we didn't have any complimentary bottled water in our room and had to purchase some from a local supermarket at 4am as we were PARCHED after a few drinks the night before. However the room had some great features such as the touch screen to control the lighting, temperature and open and close the curtains (loved this). We had cocktails in the bar - these took quite some time to prepare each time, but they were lovely. We also had the sharing platter off the bar menu - hands-down - best platter I have ever had. The pool was disappointing - you have to book your slot. We needed more flexibility than this so we didn't get the chance to experience it. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would go back. Beautiful hotel, perfect location

Feb 5th, 2020

The room was perfect, the little touches like the electric curtain opener, the big TV, the quality mattress and pillows. It was extremely comfortable and ideal location. Staff were very friendly and helpful TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
