Worst-Run Hilton Property Ever

Jan 27th, 2020

What a COMPLETE DISASTER DURING THIS STAY. Made a BIG MISTAKE choosing this hotel and inviting friends to come along. This property does not rise to the level of "Resort" - it's barely a hotel. Where do I start? Check-In sent to the far side of the resort in the dark to the wrong room. Requests for restaurant reservations met with indifference and disdain, found a foreign object in our food at one of the restaurants- management couldn't have cared less in responding, housekeeping left the sliding door open after servicing the room putting my wife in jeopardy when she came back to the room alone, door lock malfunctioned keeping us out of our room for over an hour, got kicked out of one of the pools and left stranded with no shuttle at night, place is dated, tired and time-worn. Room amenities very cheap, bed and bath linens very cheap. Thank goodness for MARRIOTT- at least they know how to run a resort hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I remember this hotel being so lovely. We had a ladies weekend here and it was less than average experience. It was dirty. I was mortified when I saw a dirty toilet and feet prints in the tub. Hair everywhere. I changed rooms only to be kept up all night by a huge roach walking the ceiling in the new room. So disappointing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ending my tradition

Jan 16th, 2020

I don’t know where to start on this review. I have been coming to the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs since I was a child, having birthday parties, a high school graduation party, and two anniversaries. Recently, the beginning of the year, I had my anniversary there and spent two nights. My partner and I spent our time hanging out and hiking on the beautiful trails that are close by. Let me start by saying my partner was wearing a thick fleece onesie and I was wearing leggings and a tee shirt. We were staying in room 6115, and things were fine, until I noticed something really concerning, and things just got worse. A day and a half after we checked out, I detailed my house, as I do every week, I set some time aside to work on my sewing machine workmanship. I went to rub my stomach and felt a lot of bumps on my side so I lifted up the shirt I was wearing. My torso, front, sides and back, was riddled with RED BITES. I went to the Pointe after checking with my partner, whether she had any bites or not. Luckily she didn’t, and her onesie had saved her from this nightmare that I have been documenting. Since the manager reported that there weren’t any bed bugs in the room, I detailed and combed my bed room and my bed 3 times and changed my sheets every time to make sure that it wasn’t my bed that is infested. I’m 100% sure now and wanted to be sure, before writing this review and making accusations. I was bitten over 100 times and had a severe allergic reaction to the bites that made me break out in hives. The manager at the Pointe said sorry that I got “bitten” and that was it. I spent multiple nights not sleeping well, due to being worried that I had brought it home. I'm ending my tradition here, and I’m sure the manager didn’t look at the photos I emailed to Security of these bites. I'm so utterly disgusted by this and the lack of ownership, by the Pointe, to admit blame. I have been telling my friends and family about this. Heed my warning if you go to a 4 star resort and you come back home looking like the photos of me. You will want to spread the word to everyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice views, spacious rooms and great food

Jan 16th, 2020

I spent three days in a convention at the hotel, I can say the service from the staff is great, the food was great and the the surroundings are great for hiking, as for the hotel facilities, since the hotel is quite old, the room design is outdated and somewhat won't make sense in terms of the bathroom design, storage space and furniture. The elevators are quite slow and the general layout of the hotel feels like a big maze with ups and downs although you have great shuttle service. Bottom line, it was a good experience, but it could be better TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
