We stayed here for our son’s wedding this past weekend, and it was wonderful. The staff was unbelievably accommodating and friendly. It’s a gorgeous country setting, and the adjacent Manor House is the perfect place to have an outdoor wedding. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My husband and I booked our wedding at Poplar Springs Manor during an Open House and on the spot this. We were particularly in love with the venue because of the Manor House, but also due to the property having an option for our guests!! We could not have been happier with how BJ treated us during our stay and we were there all weekend! The rooms are clean and there's an outdoor patio to enjoy as well!! We can not say enough good things about the property and hopefully we will get back to enjoy it again and the Spa too!! We will always hold our wedding weekend experience close to our hearts and will be forever grateful for all of the communication and top notch service from The Inn!! Wonderful Dinner, Stay and Spa

All I can say is "WOW"! My husband and I came here on Valentine's Day for Poplars Event and got the package where we could stay, have dinner, and spa treatments the next day. First, we checked into the inn and headed to our rooms with a glass of champagne (very classy). The rooms are so beautiful, I think the term is french country? Next, we went to the Manor house, where it really could not be any more beautiful with the cobblestone walls, etc. While the 3 course dinner was delicious and the chocolate fondue station was amazing, you could tell they were short on wait staff, which was a minor detail when you consider how many things were so wonderful. The live violinist played in the background, which really put the cherry on top to our romantic night. The next day, we had our couples massage with Kassi and LeAnn, it was the best massage I have ever had, I was with Kassi. I have gotten massages at Red Door, Spa World, etc. but they do not compare. After we had some more champagne and chocolate strawberries, it was the perfect end you our romantic evening. We really hope that we can come again for this event next year and make it a tradition! Went there for dinner on Valentines Day, the food was good but the staff and service could use a lot of work. Poplar Springs oozes ambiance and charm and it is a beautiful setting......now elevate your dinner game to match. Bartenders should know how to make a couple different drinks and have a bar with more than just a few spirits. Servers should understand how to properly serve wine (present the label, pour a small tasting, don't serve screw top wine, etc), they should also occasionally check on their tables. The table next to me had to go find their own silverware!! Not the best foot forward when serving $200 dinners. I know the Inn is under new management so I suggest rethinking the service side of the catering company. Warrenton needs nice places and this could be one of the great ones. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Tesla stations but not wifi..........

I was recently here for a wedding and stayed two nights. The property is gorgeous and pulling up to the inn it looks quite picturesque. There are multiple Tesla charging stations which infers a certain clientele they strive to host. When I got to my room, it was clean and warm. There were fluffy robes in the closet and double sinks in the bathroom area. I enjoyed the shower amenities provided and the keurig-like coffee mate with teas. There was outdoor access from my room via a french door. I used the french door as to unload my luggage from the driveway which was useful and cut out extra walking through the inn. I found that when I went to lock the door later, however, it wouldn't lock properly. When I spoke to the concierge, BJ, she said there was a "trick" to it and offered to re-lock it for me. After that I didn't use it as I was a single woman and didn't feel comfortable having an unlocked door or asking the concierge to come and re-lock it every time. There was no full length mirror which is standard in most hotel and inns which I think would be a nice addition, particularly with an inn that hosts weddings and outdoor events. My greatest disappointment was the customer service I received after inquiring about not having wifi in my room. I had planned on doing some work and found that there were multiple wifis popping up that I could not access. I scoured the room looking for the typical wifi info card and looked at my hotel key as well thinking it might be on there but didn't find it. When I inquired that evening, the evening concierge said that what I had seen on the wifi was the "old owners" wifi and that they did not have access to it despite it showing strong signals. She then said there was wifi access in the "main" part of the inn but that wifi in the section I was in (room 116) was too far for it to reach. The next morning I inquired to BJ about this and she said that the internet was down everywhere. I expressed how I had wanted to get some work done the evening before and how I was unable to and asked to have something taken off the bill since it was said to be included in the room (mind you the room "rate" was $341 total for 2 nights). She said she would have me speak with the manager, Sami (Sammy?) and got him immediately. I relayed to him my request and he too told me that the internet was down and that they can't help Verizon doing work. I explained that in the room description it says it is included and understand when work is being done, however, I don't think that I should then have to pay a rate, which has been calculated based off what is being provided, when that item is in fact not provided for whatever reason. He said he understood and would look into it for me. I shook his hand and thanked him. He never followed up with me. The next morning at check out BJ gave me my bill, nothing had been changed and she didn't say anything to me. I then mentioned it to her and she explained the same thing Sami had the previous day, that because it was a "fixed rate" for the wedding there was nothing they could do because it was a contract that was agreed upon. She also relayed again that the internet was down everywhere to which I responded that that wasn't true as I had again accessed wifi in the main inn/lobby area the night before. She then confirmed there was wifi there to which I then asked, "So let me make sure I understand this, I am then paying the same rate as someone who is in a room close to the lobby and able to access that wifi, however, because my room was a farther distance and did not have a signal, I'm expected to pay the same rate as them?" To which she said, yes and again went on about the fixed rate. Again, Sami never followed up with me and BJ didn't bring it up either which was very disappointing. It seems there was never any intention to rectify the situation as they were going to fall back on it being a contract deal. All in all, this was a disappointing stay. For a luxury inn, I expected getting what I paid for and better customer service when expressing these concerns. I had hoped that they would recognize that it was unfair to keep a "fixed rate" when they weren't providing all the services they had said they would. I'm also surprised that this was the default response for them as I understand these owners also have two other wedding/special event venue properties in the area and am shocked at this level of customer service. All in all, one is rest assured that Teslas will be able to charge in the parking lot, just don't expect to have wifi in the hotel rooms but be charged for it anyway. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
