Awesome hidden retreat in Doral!!

Mar 19th, 2019

Since the moment you walk in the friendly staff greets you, I had the pleasure on my 2 visits to meet awesome, helpful and very friendly staff. Hi- Kenner!- He was able to help me with all my inquiries and needs, he guides me thru my check-in at the hotel. Antonio !! He is also a spectacular friendly, helpful, and funny. I always travel for both business and pleasure. If you ever need to speak to someone Antonio, the Front Desk Manager. He definitely can help you above and beyond! I tour the entire hotel, I always like to give a full experience. I found several places to make your trip stress free. If you are waiting to get check-in; head by the bar/restaurant where you can find delicious mouth-watering food & drinks, great staff to serve you. I had the pleasure to meet in person at different times; the Sous Chef Arcel, and the Chef Sigfredo Gonzalez of the hotel. They even went above and beyond also to create stunning plates for my family and I. Now, I am full and ready to relax! I head out to my room to find out is a villa style, very private, upscale, modern, clean, and golf course views to die for. Whaaat! I honestly did not know what was more awesome, the food, the service, or the room, and, its views. I just was so sad when it came to an end. lol - Keep posted, I will do a second review of this hotel more detailed about to the room, amenities, and features. Thank You so much to my followers for taking the time to read my posts, Until next time! Xoxo TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not as expected based on ratings.

Well, where do I start. The first room they put us in was stale smelling and had a lipstick stained glass in the bathroom. We were changed to a supposed upgraded unit which looked exactly the same. This resort is old and it shows. Floors and walls are scuffed and dated, one color paint throughout, no spare bedding, no bowls, no dishsoap, no drying towels, we had to ask for a toaster, and don't expect a view of the golf course because the view is blocked by trees. It needs upgraded throughout. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our 3rd stay here and not as a memorable one.

Mar 11th, 2019

Based on my last review which was about a year ago, we were promised a 5 star treatment if we returned, so we did this year, now after 12 days cruise to the Caribbeans, i decided to give this hotel a chance again, and return to this property, room was not ready until 2pm which was alright, checked in and got building 6 after promised after our last visit, that we got a building close to the pool, now building 6 wasnt. No available rooms, even requested it from home at the time also confirmed it. The room was alright perhaps i do prefer 2 db beds in the main room because the sleeping couch we got in the main room was just horrible, it was like sleeping on the floor, not comphy at all, perhaps should have mentioned it earlier, but thought we got 2 seperated bed rooms instead. The concierge was really helpful with our stuff made sure we were comfortable etc. once we got back later on, we realize there were not hot water in the bathroom, we waited like 5min with supposely hot water, called the reception (engineer came ) fixed the problem asap , thank you ! why not hot water dont ask why ? We got breakfast complimentary but was only booked for me alone even though we were a family travelling together, i ask that it must have been a mistake, so had to ask the reception for Alex Mendoza, but he was unvailable so the front desk manager Antonio told me just to go eat he will solve the issue afterwards so thank you for that, it was a arkward moment there, where the Spanish speaking server told me that it was only booked for one person. The breakfast was alright, just some toast, bagels, orange juice, fresh fruits, yogurt, cold cuts, some hot dishes with some tasteless scramble eggs, and hash browns, 2 kinds of cereals, some boring pastries. coffea to go. But does the job i guess, but not worth $13 plus taxes or somethin. The pool area is comfortable and not crowded at all, although the cushions on the sunbeds needs to be either changed or at least dry. When we were checking out realize that provident manage to take several withdrewel from my credit card, pre authorisations i guess, and had to mail them regarding the issues, but they pretty quick to solve those issues. Based on the our 3rd visit, wasnt the way we thought it would be, we are sincerely considering if we will return to this property again next winter. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice suites and location but a little disappointed

Mar 8th, 2019

Stayed here recently on a business trip. Overall it’s a beautiful property. Many of the staff were warm and inviting. The rooms are spacious with nice amenities but they could definitely use some cleaning and updating. I was in building 15 which is the furthest one from the lobby and about a 10-12 min walk. I was staying there by myself so I asked for something closer but they were not able to accommodate. At night it just didn’t feel that safe waking all that way alone. They do have a golf cart that will bring you back and forth. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing and was $23. Ordering off the menu took forever. Overall a nice property and location but did leave me a little disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice

Feb 24th, 2019

I read a lot of reviews before choosing this location for leisure. I would say it’s like renting your own condo. The grounds are secure w a gate that you’re required to be identified prior to admission. The parking is free. The room is very large w an adjoining sitting area and a balcony. The kitchen includes a full refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, range etc. It was rather luxurious and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. Yes, it’s seen better days and could use more attention but overall it was nice. I would stay at this location again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
