Yearly Vacation

Oct 16th, 2019

Always have a great time at the resort and this is our 7 year coming. Everyone is nice and makes you feel welcomed when your at the resort. When we go to the main pool we have a server that goes out of his way to make us come back and not want to leave. His name is Pablo at the main pool, this guy has been with us since our first trip up at the sky pool we’re we meet him 2012. This year we meet a new member of the staff that drove the carts, Enrique “The Mexican Devil” he would drive us all over the resort and make it fun. Had a great time like always can’t wait till next year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Resort, too pricey when it comes to all inclusive and poor customer service.

Oct 15th, 2019

My experience was bad from the moment I arrived. I had called the day before and requested our units (3) be next to each other and no ocean view obstruction. When getting there the units were not next to each other and one of the units had obstructed view (overlooking roof tops). Was offered an overpriced all inclusive of $190.000 per day. After denying it due to the high rate I was told that I should have made pre-arrangments to save 50%. I was never told I needed to do pre arrangements for wifi and all inclusive. Neither does the resort or REI state anything about a pre arrangement on services. Our customer service guy Oliver was a young guy in his twenties, was rude and told us (50+) that throughout his many years of experience, that's how resorts work all over. I've traveled all over the world and have never been told off by a customer service rep (young adult) how I was wrong about how resorts work. Asked to speak with supervisor Hugo and he was helpful with our unit relocation but couldn't do anything about rates for additional services. As our guests arrived, they were sent to other departments and they were offered the additional services at a much lower rate. When interest was shown by our guests, the rates were hiked three times more. It seems that all they cared about was us buying timeshare. I already own four and have no interest in owning more. Definitely not recommending Pueblo Bonito and never going back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

La Frida

Oct 15th, 2019

My wife and I enjoyed an evening together at La Frida’s last night. The dinner was made “more special” by our waiter, Miguel Salas...we have found in our travels that there are a number of great restaurants to mention, but I find myself grading the experience based on the customer service provided to us. Miguel was fantastic and added a different dimension to the dining experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely reunion with high school friends.

Oct 15th, 2019

My 3 girlfriends and I stayed at Pueblo Bonita at Sunset beach in early Oct. I am one of the owners at Sunset and usually take my annual trip to Cabo in the winter, usually from January to March, right before Spring break. Early Oct, however, was quite hot and humid. PBSB has getter bigger since I purchased my timeshares. However, after 12 years, as our airport shuttle crossed the gate, the resort felt like a home away from home. I take multiple trips oversea each year but still looking forward to my vacation in Cabo. This past week, I came back with three of my high school girlfriends. It was a very big deal for us as we had not seen each other in almost 40 years. Overall, it was one of the best Cabo trips I had taken. Our luck started at check-in as we were cheerfully check-in by Kiabet but she could not find what we reserved which was two studios with 2 queen size beds each. She talked to her manager Hugo and they decided to upgrade us to a presidential suite (two-bedroom, full kitchen and a Jacuzzi on the balcony). We did not expect this at all and knew that our vacation started very well. Our suite was in building 19 with a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean, perched high up on the highest hill of the resort. From this building, it was an easy downhill walk to the Lobby and the Market. From the 9th floor of this building, it was an easy walk (uphill) to the sky pool. We did not plan to purchase AI because of our party of 4 left at different times. Two of us only stayed for four days and the rest stayed for 7. The timeshare rep however gave us a deal. By sending one of us for a 90 minutes timeshare presentation, we were able to get AI for $64 a day for each of us, for three days. They were fairly flexible with the AI by having the AI started at noon on Thursday (the day after our arrival), so that the AI would run until noon on Sunday to allow the whole group to enjoy the Sunday Brunch at the resort before it was cut off. During the three days with AI, we ate like queens. Most of our meals were at the at the Market and the La Nao restaurant. Dinner service at the Japanese restaurant was spectacular as always and we also had a nice dinner at the La Frida restaurant with a surcharge of $30 each. We also enjoyed the spectacular Sunday Brunch right before the AI ran out. When I first purchased years ago, there was no such thing as AI. After AI was introduced, it took a few years for the resort adjusting to having both AI and non-AI guesses. We wished a couple of the places at the Market would open earlier, such as the Asian and the Mexican counters. After the AI had run out, we cooked in the room and even order room service. As always, the maid service was good. Our room was cleaned daily, towels were restocked each morning. The provided Shampoo was ok, but the conditioner wasn’t, and we had to go to Walmart to buy a full bottle of hair conditioner. Even the jacuzzi was clean thoroughly each morning. I feel like there were less carts around the resorts this time, we sometimes had to wait up to 10 minutes for a cart, comparing to the old days, when the cart would show up before we even walk down to the waiting area. After 12 years as timeshare owner, I still enjoy PBSB very much. When first became owner, I used to go there by myself. Now I am taking friends, children and grandchildren. I am already looking forward to my next trip there, just a few more months to go. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
