Lovely Hotel, Great Meal

Oct 19th, 2020

A lovely hotel with secure underground parking and friendly staff. Room was charming, the bar buzzy and adjacent to a park, so very dog friendly. Perfect stop after transiting France and Belgium from the UK. Our loom had a private sauna installed The restaurant was excellent and the Restaurant Manager, Paulo, could not have been friendlier or more helpful - a great meal and a great evening. Lovely place , but getting frayed around the edges , friendly staff and good breakfast

Our experience here was very positive. The hotel was in a good location for exploring the local area. The town centre was a short walk and the staff were very willing to share information. Our room was clean very well equiped, but beware of the mini bar bits, its not obvious some are not included in the room price. Some bits of the hotel especially the passageways need attention as the carpet has holes. It does need a bit of tlc but this dd not detract from the pleasure of our stay. All staff were very professional in our dealings and most spoke some English TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely stay, friendly staff.

Sep 25th, 2020

We had a lovely stay in Parkhotel Quellenhof in Aachen. We’ve been to the city plenty of times, but always just for the day. This time we really enjoyed spending a few days there. The hotel has a true ‘grandeur’, and despite having its age, it’s very clean and timeless. The swimming pool and spa area are a big plus. And the bar has a classy and intimate atmosphere. The best thing about this hotel though, is its staff: all very helpful and professional. From the receptionists, to the talented barman, the friendly cleaning ladies, and all restaurant staff - both breakfast and dinner service, all did their very best to make us feel at home and relaxed. A special mention to two staff members: The restaurant manager who has a special flair, balancing an informal yet professional approach with an obviously big knowledge of both hospitality and quality of presentation and organisation. He really defines the restaurant as it is, bravo for that! Lauryn, who was impeccable. We learnt she had recently started working in the restaurant after finishing her learning internship. That’s truly amazing, as she’s already adapted to the soul of the restaurant service, adding her own personality and doing a great job in both communication as well as helping us with choosing the best dishes and wine. A hotel like this reminds us of the true soul of a hotel: professionals doing everything they can to make your holiday as comfortable and relaxing as possible. So a big THANK YOU, and till our next visit in Aachen! M&M TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

5 star, in your dreams

Sep 24th, 2020

Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in Germany if not the world. Arrive have to shift our own luggage as the individual on reception points out that ‘it may be some time before someone can deal with it’ The bar which was almost totally empty, as we point to a table, a member of staff practically hurls herself across the room to put a reserved sign on it. We have never ever felt so unwanted by hotel staff. To class this dismal establishment as 5 star is a joke. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointing and not 4/5 * standard

Sep 24th, 2020

Arrived today at Parkhotel - very few staff around so had to manage own luggage. However the icing on the disappointing cake was the highly inhospitable attitude of bar staff, who, when they saw us approaching a table, practically rugby tackled us to get a reserved sign on the table (the bar was nearly empty) as clearly this table was not destined for the likes of us. We are hotel guests for two nights, not riff raff! If the bar is not busy, guests should be welcomed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
