A great visit

Nov 22nd, 2020

Made a quick weekend getaway in early November to New Orleans for my first trip since Covid started. I’ve stayed at the hotel a number of times and it was so great to be back. Was greeted by an incredibly friendly Vanessa at the front desk who welcomed us back to New Orleans, and all of the hotel staff throughout the trip made us feel so welcomed. One of favorite things about staying at this hotel is the lobby bar, and the phenomenal breakfast each morning. Great location and charming rooms. Can’t wait to come back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Felt at home

Oct 27th, 2020

My wife was here for a month on business and I spent the last few days here as well. Felt welcome from the moment I entered the building. Desk staff is great and treated me like family. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were delicious and the pizza is as good as I have ever had. Obie from engineering was friendly and extremely helpful. Plenty of parking near by and great location near the French Quarter and WW2 museum. Would stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to stay!

Oct 14th, 2020

Located two blocks from Canal Street and about the same from the French Quarter, the location is perfect. The building was erected in 1911 but was remodeled in 2014. The rooms have high ceilings and the floors appear to be wood that is original to the building and not added in 2014. The room is spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Unlike many hotels where the shower head is too low for tall people, the shower head here is about 7 feet plus from the floor. There is a bar downstairs in the lobby and it has a limited menu of sandwiches and pizza. Rooms have Keurig coffeemakers and small refrigerators but no microwave. The icemaker produces ice and cold water and is located near the elevator at the center of each floor so no one has to walk from one end of the floor to the other to get ice. Final touch is that the staff here has been unfailingly friendly. My photos speak for themselves and I would not hesitate to return to the Queen and Crescent if I have the oportunity. Laid-back charm, but sadly, theft

Mar 17th, 2020

The photo does not look anything like my room. My room was very small for two people, a king size bed, crowded but altogether a laid-back, charming New Orleans feel. I would have given this hotel 3 or 4 stars just for it's charm, but everything was ruined when someone stole a very special necklace from me. I had two necklaces and they chose the prettiest one. However the one they left behind, a much more subtle design actually had real diamonds. Still, they shouldn't have stolen anything. I'm sorry they did. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Average

Mar 14th, 2020

I stayed here with some friends on a girls trip. They had stayed here before and really liked it so they wanted to stay here again. I think it was average and will stay elsewhere next time I return. There were a few check in issues that my friend had to deal with but I will let her write about that part if she wants. The hotel is not directly in the madness but close enough to walk to everything easily. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and we had to have our toilet repaired during our stay. I hate the style of rolling bathroom doors that they have here. We also had issues with the heater/ac unit. The bar in the hotel was convenient but the employees working in it were not as nice as the other hotel employees. So there was good and bad and it was overall average. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
