Nice Stay

Feb 21st, 2020

We stayed at this facility on our way south. Usually we stay in Bristol just down the highway but their prices seemed high so we selected this Quality Inn and were not disappointed with any aspect of out stay. The service was friendly, the breakfast good and the rooms clean and comfortable. We would consider this hotel again next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not quality, never my choice, again!

Nov 12th, 2019

We booked these rooms to go to our granddaughters’ recital. Nov.8 to 11 stay so we wanted a comfortable and really nice room. Hubby and I chose a Whirlpool, Fireplace room King bed and we reserved a 2 queen suite for other family members. We called before arriving, as we were about ab hour early for check in. Jonathan told us the rooms would be ready, no problem. We checked in and went to our rooms. They appeared to be nice. We tried to light the fireplace. Did not work in room 401. I asked at the front desk, the attendant said that there is a sign at the desk reminding the employees to make customers aware of this. I returned to the room. Hubby was not happy and called the desk, asking if any of the cost would be refunded since one of the attractive details was not available. She said to call Jonathan the next day. She called back about half an hour later, the fireplace was working in 301 and we could move down, we agreed and she came up with our new key cards and the luggage dolly. We pointed out that the tv remote back was off and the batteries were taped in. She said that they did that to all of them. LIE! The 2 remotes in the Queen suite were intact as was the one in the new room that we were given. The TVs were a farce. They were tiny and I have never heard this before, but they had to warm up in order to br watched?! Strange! The beds were uncomfortable. The rooms were not stocked well, the room we got for the fam members ran out of tp. So back to the fireplace in 401, it did work when you could get it to ignite, probably 30 percent of the time. The whirlpool worked. The free breakfast was the same each day, it was substantial but really bland. We should gave tried the Country Inn just steps away, they are not usually among our favorites, but would have been better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First was the smell. Next was the bathroom that was not sanitized but the had tape over the toilet saying it was. Then the carpet felt wet and had stains on it. I have children and would let them walk without shoes on or go under the stain sheets. We left after 20min I have never reviewed anything but felt I should warn people with family. Just one person's opinion. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Reasonably comfortable Quality Inn with a great southern breakfast

Oct 16th, 2019

I was in Abingdon running a class field activity and we were able to get the whole group into the Quality Inn. They were very easy to work with re: a group booking, and had our keys ready when we arrived - no hassles! Their breakfast was also a pleasure - classic eggs-biscuits and gravy-grits-sausage patties Southern style, with good cold options, and well laid out so a bunch of us could get fed and out into the field each morning. The rooms have somewhat clunky AC, but are otherwise very comfortable and well-equipped (a real drip coffee maker, and a generously sized refrigerator). It's proximal to a lot of good restaurants and to gas stations, and a straight shot ride in and out of the Mt Rogers NRA, where we were doing our field exercises. I look forward to coming back the next time I teach the class. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just What the Dr. Ordered

Sep 28th, 2019

This was our pit stop for a full day of music, food and commradre at Bristol Rhythm and Roots. The front desk attendant let us check in early, upgraded our room to a suite, and made our brief stay memorable. The property has changed hands thru the years, but this is very motel is well maintained inside and out. The room we had was a king bed suite, and the mattress and bedding were phenomonial. Included in the suite, were two flat screen tv's,microwave and a nice fridge. The lighting was adequate, the bathroom was average size with ample closet space. The breakfast was very good with a larger selection of hot and cold food available . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
