My husband and I were on our way to our honeymoon in Japan for two weeks but had a 17 hour layover in Seattle. Figured we'd see some sights and get a good night's sleep before our overseas flight. We wanted something affordable and just a quick ride into downtown. There was a rail station near the Space Needle, just a short walking distance from the hotel, so that wasn't too bad. Check in was smooth because it was evening by then. I didn't know about the recent hotel renovations until I got to our floor and was very shocked to see exposed cables running along the ceiling. Our room was a definite shock. Absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website. Our room's walls had stains and mold like spotting on the ceiling. The bathroom was pretty crammed with a really nice vanity but ancient toilet. Since our time was short in the city, we were only in the hotel to sleep that night. We went out for dinner, so grabbing an Uber was quite easy and quick to get to Public Market Center. Since we wanted to be up early enough to grab a nice Seattle breakfast downtown we skipped the complimentary hot buffet in the hotel. We did pop in for some juice and thought the set up was nice. Lots of choices. If we visited again, we most definitely would choose a different hotel and pay a little more. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The location if this hotel was perfect. Close to Space Needle monorail system. This is actually really good since the shuttle service they offer is only from 8am-2pm at best. I picked this hotel partly because of the hotel partly for the shuttle from and to the airport. Made a reservation to airport pick up and thought I was good. I called the day before only to find out the shuttle only runs until 2pm. Hotel stay was excellent on directions. They were extremely professional and always attentive to needs. The hot breakfast that is included consists of scrambled eggs sausage patties and links and chicken sausage and biscuits. They also make make your own waffles and cold items. Hotel under construction but was quiet. Again this is a great location. Would try again once renovation is complete TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
What A Mess

First, Manager Zach gets FIVE STARS for professionalism, concerted efforts to resolve issues and for being a kind, caring human being. Maddy was sweet too. The staff is in a HORRIBLE PREDICAMENT to appease guests with nothing to offer the MANY complaints they had to deal with. The stay was ONE star, location ONE star. This is a CHOICE HOTELS property. I wanted to use points/cash for Christmas vacation and this was downtown so I hoped close to sites. It was that. MAJOR construction inside, roof, sidewalks and ALL AROUND property, a double whammy! Super noisy, beds are on wood planks and hallways haven't been updated in decades. Meal room is nasty, dirty and full of flies on fruits and baked goods. Park at your own risk! Owners should SHUT DOWN FOR ONE MONTH to at least get this place to a solid "2-star" level. $$ hungry? NOT WORTH ruining people's vacation and all the poor reviews. Just sayin'....should get 75% off to return when it's actually worthy of CHOICE HOTELS quality. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Bed bugs on the bed!!!!

This has been the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!! I found a bed bug crawling on my bed!! Management handled the situation in a very rude and unprofessional way! Management was never available to discuss the issue! I have send several emails and calls with no answer! The hotel denied a refund, even if I only stayed 1 of the 3 nights I had paid for... DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL, IT WILL MESS UP YOUR VACATION! RUDE FRONT DESK, BED BUGS, UNSANITARY CONDITIONS, STAINED AND BAD SMELL CARPETS! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Think long and hard before booking this hotel

Room dark, musty smelling and looked as if it hadnt had a lick of paint since the 60s., not a bad size room, but the bathroom is tiny, and I mean TINY.The carpets look as if they have been down since the place was built, we were there for a week and it wasnt hoovered once. On the plus side the front of house staff are lovely and cant do enough to help you.I feel sorry for them working in such a dump. A reasonable breakfast is provided thankfully the dinning room is not in the hotel part of the building. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
