The Worst! Stay Away!!

Nov 25th, 2019

Stayed here for one night. It was bad sign when you are not greeted by the front desk guy with total attitude and RUDE! The rooms are weirdly designed, the beds are right by the door and window so you can hear everything and everybody. They should have the small living room by the door and window and the bedroom where the living room is. There are plenty of hotels around with much better front desk personnel that are helpful and not RUDE! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Decent outstanding staff but noisy

Oct 1st, 2019

Room was big. Sitting room needs to be near door unless you have kids. Room cools off fairly fast. Outside door is loud at night as sound echoes from pool a nd jacuzzi along with doors slamming on exterior. Shower hot water but low flow. Bath nice. Bed comfortable. Grounds nice. George at front desk was amazing personable. Also karla was very accomodating on check in out. Breakfast room lots of options and very clean. This is a BIG kids location. Smoking area very dark needs lighting. Had frig and microwave. You can walk to shopping about 6 full blocks. Its across a major highway. Our best meal was pizza crisp in hillcrest. Dennys is about 2 blocks down same street and wendys about half block further. Theatres 7 blocks walk or 7.00 lyft ride. Benihanas next door. You cant see any businesses from hotel but if walk up towards traffic light and take pedestrian walk across the highway there is a lot of shopping. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Older hotel but great location!

Aug 29th, 2019

This hotel is close to everything in San Diego! Every where I went it was about 15 minutes from the hotel. They have a full breakfast with many choices. Nice size swimming pool and hot tub. The fitness center is really small though. The hotel is older and if you don't have the fan or air conditioner running it can be loud. Some of the finishes are outdated. My bed, however was very comfortable I wanted to take it home. I would stay here again, due to the location and bed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fun in San diego

Aug 1st, 2019

We had a great stay at this hotel. We decided to get a hotel that was a bit more friendly for the budget, knowing we wouldn't be spending too much time there. We arrived and our AC wasn't working and were a bit concerned that we should have spent a little more. Called the front desk and they quickly had their engineer, Michael, come up and take a look. Not only did Michael arrive promptly but when he wasn't sure the AC would be reliable for our stay he called the desk to have our room changed. He took care of getting us new keys and made sure we were comfortable. He was very helpful and checked in with us over the next couple days to make sure our stay was the best it could be. Thank you, Michael!!! You are the best! Overall everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast is pretty standard but a great easy way to start the day. Very comfortable place! Only giving 4 stars because it's not the most luxurious or beautiful hotel. You get what is expected however the service is wonderful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms were clean but had several issues. The air conditioning was a in wall unit just under the window in the front room. The cold air didn't reach the room that the kids were sleeping in. We were in one of the units that had bunk beds for the kids between the front room and the bathroom . The rooms were separated by french doors that were supposed to have curtains for privacy but one of them was missing. The bath tub silicone was dirty and had black spots. The wallpaper near the edge of the tub was curled up and looked dirty. The beds were okay at best. All of the rooms faced inward towards the pool which was VERY loud until about 9:30pm. The walls seem paper thin. You can hear every through them. Kids in the pool, suit cases rolling on the balcony, the people above you running back and forth, and the cars in the parking lot. It was pretty loud thought the day. Parking was 12$ a day so we decided to go without a rental car. Instead we used Uber and Lyft and the location was within 15 minutes of almost all tourist attraction and the cost on average was around 10$. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The best part of the experience at this hotel was the breakfast each morning. The room the food was served was clean and the staff was continually restocking everything. Overall we had a good trip but this hotel was not what we are used to. We will definitely look elsewhere next time we are visiting the San Diego area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
