Solid 3.5 star property with nice grounds and good location, have stayed at better.

Stayed overnight last weekend on 01/29/20 and overall not bad, but certainly not what I had envisioned when booked-given the name and rating. Hotel is located in a great part of the city and easy to get to. Valet and bell boy assistance, excellent. Check in quick and easy, no issues there. Except if there is only one attendant in the evening and you have an inquiry of some sort and he or she is already tied up it can be 30 minutes to ask a simple question or request. (You need more front desk staff always for a 4-5 star rated hotel) Grounds are immaculate and nicely kept, a welcomed given in the middle of a big city as is Guadalajara. The enchantment stops here for me. As a frequent traveler my room, #207 was easy on the eyes when I walked in, but after a couple minutes I could not help it and became critical of many essential necessities lacking for a supposedly higher rated hotel this is in 2020 and which caters to a variety of different clientele, especially business travelers. My biggest complaint was the lack of electrical outlets near the bedding area. There were no accessible outlets to plug in the plethora of items we all travel with in this era, especially for me who uses a C-Pap breathing machine in my sleep. I had to crawl and get on all fours under an adjacent table to connect a power strip I was smart enough to carry with me and then was able to connect my multiple devices. A table top lamp was also nicely appointed but unplugged. Had I needed its use, I should have to be the one getting on the floor and under the table to plug it in. For a hotel that caters to many business travelers, this needs to be revisited and redone soon. Nice, large bathroom with the tiniest ledge and not greatest curtain separating the shower area with the bathroom area. Room 207 unfortunately needs the shower head replace asap, as a simple shower meant water everywhere. A nice updated and modern rain shower head might alleviate this problem, the current shower head and pressure in the shower left alot to be desired. Overall some of the furnishings definitely showed their age and that took away from the initial charm of the room upon check in. All looked very tired especially the carpeting. Might be up for a remodel soon I hope and maybe all this critique will be unnecessary then, In a city with many other true 4-5 star choices and newer offerings this was a 3.5 at best for me. Rooms needs some quick and due attention. If you're able to get the hotel at a decent discount through third party booking sites, than definitely recommend and I myself would consider staying again...At regular retail price per night without any savings, not at all...there are newer, much nicer area hotels with a far better price, appeal and amenities! Great place to Stay in Guadalajara

The restaurant was very over priced. Grounds were very nice and gym was great. The staff was top notch. I would give it a five if the restaurant was less expensive. I would recommend to friends. I would look to stay at other Real hotels at other locations. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I was delighted with Quinta Real in Guadalajara. I have already stayed at the one in Saltillo but this one is definitely top. The restaurant has great food with great outside seating. There are also many restaurants and bars that are walking distance as well as the great shoe gallery. The room is large nad very unique. The councier Jaime was outstanding. He helped us from getting a cab to airport to tequila tours. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent service and superior experience

I have to start by saying that , Initially was working on planning a trip to Guadalajarafor the Mariachi Festival because , friends of mine were coming from Australia that were participating representing Australia with their Mariachi festival. My other friends who are use to first class service ask me to follow up with the hotel for arrangements . I contacted the concierge Jamie Castillo and to say that this man was incredible is a understatement . He provided me with extensive information of Guadalajara's best resturants and tours and of course arranging excellent transporting needed for all day for all four days of visit . The hotel staff were very good , my room was excellent , turndown service and maid service superb. Resturant was very good , although who was eating on us was a little confusing but all in all bartenders and wait staff were great. My friends upgraded to the Presidential suite which was done with out any problems . My trip was superb and I reach out to the General Manager and exited my hearty thank you for a great time at the hotel . Again the concierge Jamie and his staff made me feel at home all the time. It is a wonderful hotel. Great food and excellent service. It is an exclusive, luxury hotel, therefore not on the cheap side. Beautifully decorated, nice gardens. The restaurant and bars have great settings. Well located within the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
