Quirk in Richmond

Jul 18th, 2019

Very cool, modern hotel with an interesting artistic vibe. Fun rooftop bar and the fried chicken sandwich I had for lunch was outstanding. The staff is very friendly. Located just 20 minutes away from the Richmond Airport. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staycation in the Richmond Arts District

Jul 17th, 2019

The AC went out at our house and with a bulldog, we have to have AC during this 90 degree weather. So, we called Quirk and they are dog friendly and were able to get us a room the same day. The rooms are beautiful, the rooftop bar is amazing and the restaurant inside is fantastic. I really liked that the lobby is dog friendly and the staff will take your order and bring your food even if you have your dog with you! Its near Lemaire, Bar Solita, Tarrant's Cafe and a ton of other restaurants not to mention the great art galleries (ya know, its located in the Richmond Arts District), clothing stores, record stores and hip lil vintage furniture stores. Really a great stay overall. Love the cute pink chairs in lobby too. Adorable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Eclectic chique

Jul 16th, 2019

The unique and often whimsical artwork is enjoyable! Great architectural elements in an exception renovation. The rooftop bar is a huge bonus in addition to the main floor restaurant. An attached "art gallery" and gift shop are unexpected gems as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Couples Staycation

Jul 15th, 2019

My girlfriend and I are from Richmond but decided to take a little staycation in order to unwind a bit. My girlfriend was unaware that I was also going to use the weekend trip to propose and the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We used the overnight valet service ($24) which was very convenient and allowed us to use our car as much as we needed while still only paying the $24. Check in was slightly delayed as the room was not completely ready but the front desk offered both my girlfriend and I a complimentary drink voucher to make up for the wait (about 20 min). We had a room on the Terrace level with our own balcony with a stunning view of the city, that looked even more magnificent as the sun set. The room was large, had a great bathroom, comfy king bed, and was most importantly very clean! Additionally, the room had some soft towels and Quirk branded bathrobes which were good for lounging. While we did not eat at the restaurant downstairs on this trip we have eaten there in the past and it was very good (highly recommend)! Since I had called a few weeks ahead of time about the planned proposal I was able to speak to a member of the sales and marketing team (Jeremy, who was AWESOME) who reserved a table on the terrace level of the rooftop bar with a white tablecloth, locally sourced flowers, and a bottle of champagne (for a really good cost, not expensive at all, definitely would recommend having them help with proposals for others with the same thought). They even worked with my photographer to have everything set up and photo ready for when me and my girlfriend arrived to the rooftop bar. The bar itself is great, AMAZING sunset views of Richmond and when the sun goes down completely it is beautifully set up with lights and a great atmosphere. Drinks were good and comparably priced for similar experiences in Richmond. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the room was great and the customer service was excellent, great place to stay in RVA and get the RVA experience and it is a short walk or cheap uber to any of the surrounding area attractions as well. Nice into to Richmond

Jul 14th, 2019

My son and I were touring VCU and this was the perfect hotel and location. Upscale boutique hotel one bus stop away from VCU. We've never been to Richmond but fell in love with the city and school! Quirk is a smaller hotel which was great to see the same friendly staff everyday, made me feel comfortable asking all my touristy questions. Restaurant in hotel has excellent food. Room was large with 2 queen beds and comfortable sharing with my teen son. Very cool intro to a neat city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
