Wrong room category, no drink voucher...

May 23rd, 2020

I stayed 1 night in January on a business trip. Booked through Expedia. I’d paid for a premium room with a city view, which came with a drinks voucher. I was given a room on a low floor with no city view and the drink voucher never appeared. The room was above the back road where the bins are - noise all night. Terrible night’a sleep. I complained on check out, and it was clarified that I’d been given a lower category room, but as I’d booked through Expedia they couldn’t refund. However I was promised some type of voucher and that the guest relations manager would contact me - I left my email. No contact had ever been made by the hotel. I wont stay again. Lovely breakfast

Apr 4th, 2020

Stayed here for a few days for a work conference. I was delighted to be assigned this hotel as it was supposedly the best out of the other hotels being used by the company in Manchester and it had excellent trip advisor reviews. The hotel was conveniently located very close to the Manchester central convention complex so I could walk easily. The lobby was very stylish and smelt wonderful. The room itself was a good size, had a luggage rack (which not all hotels do but I like having this), a nespresso machine, free water and was clean. The temperature in the room was difficult to get right and I did feel cold despite using the highest air conditioning/heating setting. The bathroom was a good size too but the mixer taps were not ideal to get the right temperature, toilet paper was not good and there were no facial tissues (but I later learnt these were apparently hidden behind the mirror - though it wasn't obvious this could be opened so it could have been highlighted in some way). I also loved that the hotel had an ice machine on each floor as I do love my cold drinks. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was absolutely lovely with so many different fresh options like different fresh juices, non dairy milks, wonderful hash browns, etc. The staff serving at breakfast were also friendly and attentive. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Gorgeous Spa Facilities, Average Rooms

Mar 30th, 2020

We booked to stay at the Radisson Edwardian after I have stalked photos of their spa online. I am lead to believe that the spa has recently all been renovated and it is absolutely beautiful. Use of the pool, steam room, sauna and gym is included for all hotel guests. We stayed on a Sunday night and I used the facilities on the Monday, even then it was what I would consider busy. I would not like to visit over the weekend as I would imagine it to be very busy and it is not the biggest spa in my opinion, you could feel quite crammed in and claustrophobic. The equipment in the gym was pretty much brand new and very up to date. The room itself was fine, nothing special, and the bathroom clean and modern with toiletries provided. If you’re looking for an upscale hotel in the centre of Manchester this is in a really good location. It is however on the pricy side so if you are not bothered about the spa facilities you will be able to get a nicer hotel for a better price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
