Suits its purpose, but more dilapidated than you'd expect

Sep 16th, 2019

Three years ago, I stayed here the night before an early flight. I was given a small single-person room that, while devoid of charm, was perfectly fine: clean and comfortable. This time, I needed to do the same thing. At check-in, I was "upgraded" to a "business-class" room for some reason (perhaps because I'd joined their frequent visitor program to get a cheaper rate). My room was absolutely huge, with floor to ceiling rooms looking out over the highway and a bit of the runways. But the furniture was shabby as can be, the rug stained, the bathroom floor likewise. And when I tried to close the curtains (there were about six of them) so I could get some sleep, two of the curtains came off their track and flopped down to the ground. OK, was able to get 6 hours or so of sleep, and take a shower in the morning. But my overall impression was of a decent establishment slowly going to seed. Next time I am in Moscow, I will probably try something different. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Does not meet the stated requirements

I have to stay longer then few nights. The reception ignores my reminded requests on leaking toilet, the smell of cigarettes in a non-smoking room. The breakfast is not delightful too, the catering was not filled up The service leaves much to be desired. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceptional location, decent service

Sep 3rd, 2019

stayed two nights before transatlantic flight. Booked executive room with a runway view. Room's primary view was towards Terminal D, with a partial view of a runway, so it was a bit disappointing. Executive room includes "business lounge" access, which is a joke. It is just a small area on the top floor restaurant with limited drinks served after 5pm and very few snacks served from 9pm till 11 pm. It does not qualify to be called a "business lounge". Extra bed was not available upon check in (while it was requested) and was delivered only after additional reminder. Room was booked for 3+1 people, but it had robes/slippers/towels for two people only. Minibar was empty, while advertised. On a bright side: location is exceptional. Minutes to either terminal D/E/F and train station. It's very easy to take a train to the city. Hotel is very clean, modern, well maintained and decently decorated. Staff is generally friendly and helpful, but some proactivity was lacking. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and breakfast room was not crowded. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Sep 2nd, 2019

Standard Hotel

The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. I found the staff on the counter were not the most helpful.. This hotel has a roof top bar but it doesn’t open until 5pm which is a waste of time if you want to sit and watch the aircraft. The bar is quite expensive and found that the Burger King on the station which is about a 5 minute walk excellent and a lot cheaper. If you want a room with an airport view then you have to pay for an executive room.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
