Great time

We spent 4 dais in Galzignano Terme playing golf (each day in a different golf course) and relaxing in thermal pool. The golf courses we visited were excellent and exciting. Hotel people was perfectly trained: rich of helpful attitude, willing to solve problems, available and flexible. The room was clean, comfortable, with a balcony watching a fantastic panorama on Euganei hills. Lot of space where to store luggage. I feel really happy to stay there and leaving the resort I promise myself to return again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent hotel

Stayed in this hotel for the first time but not the last time. This hotel has very nice spacious rooms with balcony and with all necessary amenities. It offers wellness and spa and a great pool areas. Next to the hotel is a golf course and a separate fitness gym. We were very impressed by the breakfast buffet which you can enjoy inside the restaurant or outside at the patio. Staffs are friendly and surprisingly the hotel manager would greet the guests in the morning while having breakfast. Love this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic location, but degraded in its original essence

This has always been my preferred exclusive and magical spa, whenever I wanted to switch-off and relax in a unique place surrounded by hills, nature, and unique spa treatments. The people working here are very nice and professional, from the front desk, booking office, as well as the very special workers at the thermal section. Unfortunately, over the last year, I noticed the application of a "quantity policy", which ended up in ruining the magical atmosphere of this place by opening the doors to everybody and to too many people. Therefore, over the last year, very frequently I found too many people screaming and yelling in the pool and jumping up and down in the water (even if this would be prohibited in a spa, and all the real lovers of spa know it), confusing the thermal swimming pool as it was a normal low cost municipal pool (which is not); lately I found too many people using the sauna in a very rude way ( leaving their dirty towels in the sauna or running and screaming with kids inside and outside pools and sauna). All these factors connected to the "clientèle" have inevitably downgraded the quality of the experience you could get from this place, from a unique and magical hotel (as it was in the past) to an "average" spa, despite the location, the design, and the workers are fantastic. I personally would recommend the property to get back to the previous quality policy, minimizing group booking, and emphasising the thermal services in quantity and quality (as it was in the past). Brilliant hotel--excellent staff

Great hotel in superb surrounding. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities very clean and extensive. Food was of very good quality. 2nd time we visited the hotel and we will definitely go back next year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

How this place can have such a good rating is beyond me

I'll try and start of with the good things: - The pool area is large - The rooms are spacious - The WiFi works well in the rooms (not so much in the restaurant or near the pools) - Breakfast was variated - It's very quiet and serene That's unfortunately all I can say that's positive. Everything else was mediocre or worse: First impressions matter: the hotel looks very outdated from the outside; shabby building, very old lawnchairs, and so on. The first room we were in wasn't much better (see pictures): the mirror was damaged, the bathroom sink was clearly leaking, the curtain had little holes in it, the shower had fungus, and the overal lack of finishing marked this hotel as far below standard Radisson standards. Since we are Platinum members we should have gotten a) welcome package b) free bottles of water c) free upgrade to a suite if available. None of these were offered. After we went to ask for them we were moved to a junior suite, which was at least a small improvement. The restaurant (we had dinner) is absolutely terrible. I have never in my life eaten worse (not an overstatement). It was expensive enough to expect it will be decent (100€ for 2 menu's and some wine) and was just utter crap. First you have the buffet, with nothing good on it to be honest. Then we were served the most sad plate of pasta ever; supposedly with "creme of aubergine" - most likely straight out of a can. The main course consisted of dry veal and badly baked potatoes. We only ate there the first night when we arrived (too exhausted to go find something else) and afterwards didn't go near it anymore. The main reason for picking this hotel was the thermal bath's and wellness. The pool was large and clean but basically a regular heated swimming pool. Don't know what was so special about it. Although wait, I did have a unique feature: it turned my bathing suit bloody green! When I asked at the desk what was in the water I got apologies together with "that has never happend before"... Right. So that's ruined then, thanks. The "wellness" part was also rather disappointing. Maybe I'm too spoiled (I go to a lot of wellness centers) but just having some built-in whirlpools inside the pool doesn't qualify as a wellness for me. The water had a nice temperature though, to note something positive. To top it off there were also a bunch of minor annoyances, which might not stand out on their own but in this case they emphasize the fact that this hotel is far below what you would expect for the price (170€/night). For instance: they didn't replenish the soaps and showergels regularly, they didn't give enough towels, on the barmenu it said specifically "wine -25cl" but you got a regular 15-20cl tops (depending on who was pouring), things at breakfast (like pancakes) were not kept warm at all, and none of the bloody saltshakers worked. Last but not least: on checkout we were entitled to 20% discount on all things consumed (again, Platinum member reward), which we had to ask for (again). The receptionist (Alessandro) miscalculated things and we had to come back because he overcharged us 3€. When this was pointed out to him, he had the arrogance to just belittle us and act like we were idiots for coming back for "only 3€". Excellent service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
