History on Display

The hotel is an old train depot that is a gorgeous building. The exterior is so elegant. Inside they have retained the atrium with stained glass. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was on the small side. There was no breakfast served. Being located downtown, the traffic was a little tricky. Great place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel

Oct 21st, 2020

This is a great old railroad hotel. My hobby is trains so I have stayed at several great railroad hotels. As a former train station, as opposed to a destination hotel, I was not sure what to expect. The lobby is the former waiting room and gives a look into the past. Unmatched stone work has been restored where needed. The rooms are made from what I assume to be former offices. Room interiors are modern but maintain their character with the windows being modernized with double pane glass added. The room and entire hotel is very clean. Having stayed during covid the main restaurant was closed. We were able to eat outside on a beautiful day. Limited menu offered had enough options for us to have an enjoyable meal. Food was served hot, tasted good and service was attentive. We plan to visit this hotel again in the spring. We did see a couple of trains go by the back of this hotel but as a train fan we were hoping to see more. They can go by day or night and can be a little loud, ask for a room in the front of the hotel if the noise would bother you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely Amazing.

Oct 14th, 2020

My first trip to Pennsylvania and it won't be my last all because of the hotel alone. I love history and the fact it was a train station and office building from 1908 is so cool to me. The outside looks amazing and entering the front doors is breath taking. I feeling like I'm back in time. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. Once in the room its was very nice a modern look but some of the old building still showing. Seeing the original windows was a nice touch. We roamed the hotel and took plenty of pictures and for me and my wife it's breath taking. As newlyweds when we returned to our room we found two peices of chocolate cake and a bottle of wine from the manager. I cant tell you thank you enough if you are reading this. Our road trip from Charleston and this is the best hotel yet! I've stayed in many hotels but I don't want to leave this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our Honeymoon

Oct 14th, 2020

Not only is this place absolutely stunning. The history, the nostalgia, the beauty, is breathtaking. The coolest hotel with the nicest people ever. The lady that checked us in was so sweet [long blo de hair], her name started with a "J" and I dont want to be wrong lol. and her co-worker overheard us talking and congratulated us on our wedding 4 days ago! super nice ladies. You know the hotel is clean, awesome and beyond incredible when we call home and tell everyone and take picture to send. Tonight, when we got back to our room after dinner, there was a beautiful tray with wine, two glasses, two plates of chocolate cake, and a card at the end of our bed. I teared up!! Such a beautiful gesture from the hotel and great way to celebrate night 4 of our honeymoon. we are on an East coast road trip through 9 states for 2 weeks! We are absolutely enjoying ourselves!! 10⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟 review at this place! Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton thank you!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love this Hotel!

Oct 13th, 2020

The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel is a beautiful and historic architectural gem. We love staying there. The staff are always friendly, polite and professional and the accommodations are comfortable. We love Carmen's for breakfast or brunch and Trax for appetizers and a nightcap. This hotel is our go-to place when traveling to visit family in the Scranton area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
