Shopping in the Big Apple

Brilliant stay with my Daughter in law. Her first time in the city. Hotel room was spacious and clean although the bathroom was a little tight. Staff in reception were very friendly and accommodating. Perfect position in Manhattan for The Empire State Builing, Macy’s, 5th Avenue and beyond. Booked a limo back to JFK with the concierge much better deal than booking online direct. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfectly located

Sep 28th, 2020

In New York for business and also for the first time, this was a perfect location to walk lots of places and see SO much. As a single female traveller I really appreciated how convenient and easy it was for me. It was a lovely hotel with plenty of character having some work done but still very amenable. All sorts of restaurants around, including one that was straight on through the lobby. The staff were wonderful and friendly and really made my stay extra pleasurable. Being able to get a car at the hotel at what was, for an Aussie, a genuinely reasonable price, also made my trips to other locations easy and safe. Room was not huge but had everything I needed and very comfortable. I did get some laundry done at what seemed like very expensive prices but maybe that is just New York. Would love to be able to stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

a nights stay

Mar 19th, 2020

The most comfortable bed ever. I don't even use a pillow and soft enough for head. They held my luggage during check out day so we could still do a little tourist stuff. Nice and clean. Room small, but I figure most are in New York. Staff helpful with tourist information. They help us move to a room with more of a view. There was outside construction going on. Very busy place, during the holiday. Close to subway and Empire State Building. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

third visit quick update-wanting to late sleepers for construction

Mar 9th, 2020

Spent two nights this weekend in king room overlooking broadway and 32, the room is nicely sized, although I have stayed in smaller here. Rooms are all new, bathrooms are new and small but functional, and the hotel has character which so many hotels simply do not. My update is that there is construction and is is NOT a soft lobby renovation. I had people doing drywall outside my room all day friday and starting at 845 am saturday morning. I am not a late slepeer, but I saw at least two sets of parents with kids who are very upset that they were woke up so early on a saturday with no warning. Maybe start work on weekends at ten? Otherwise good experience I will happily stay here again, great location, nice people. But they should be honest about whats being done. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location but below other curio

Mar 8th, 2020

The hotel is perfectly located. Very central location Rooms are very clean and well serviced every day. Rooms remain small and looks a bit outdated The hotel is currently being refurbished and it does not feel that the expected comfort is there. It is a shame that there is no mention of the work being done when you book. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
