Style and ultimate comfort in downtown Minneapolis

Apr 15th, 2019

Just a stone's throw from the famous Mary Tyler Moore statue, the downtown Radisson Blu hotel is sleek and ultra modern, with the best possible service. Beds are generous and comfortable with a pillow menu and the very large hotel rooms have an expansive shower room. We had one of the nicest breakfasts, reflecting Minnesota's Scandinavian roots. Five stars all around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Skip this hotel and book the one across street

Apr 15th, 2019

First room smelled horrible like someone was smoking cigarettes in there right before we showed up. So I called front desk and they did switch our room for us. But then the second room had a dirty towel in it with lipstick all over it. And besides that the beds were so uncomfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Deal

Apr 14th, 2019

My flight home was canceled and I had to find a hotel for the night. Got this on a Hoteltonight.com deal and then was offered a business upgrade which gave cocktail/snacks hour and breakfast the next morning, plus a bigger room and rainwater shower. It was great to be pampered at a reasonable price! Nice linens, good city view, quiet and loved the art work on display throughout the hotel. Would do this again. Easy access to a train that took me right to the airport for $2!! - wish I had found out about it to get there instead of Uber at 12 times the price! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good walking area

Apr 4th, 2019

I was happy to find Whole Foods, Trader Joes, a walking trail along the river and am looking forward to all the happenings in Mpls. Can't wait for all the construction to be done so I can get my shopping on. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location, safe, mediocre room

Apr 3rd, 2019

The location was good, the check in was excellent, and any staff I encountered were top notch. The bed was extra firm, little padding, and the sheets were scratchy. Any movement was very loud. There was good space in the single king room (the larger sf room) but the wasn't a lot of usable space. The hotel was very secure, you could only take the elevator to your floor with a hotel key. That was inconvenient with the other couple we travelled with, as we had to either give them one of our keys or meet on a different floor. Not a reason to be upset, just interesting. Parking was convenient, under the hotel with an elevator. No need to pay for valet. $23/ night. Overall it was okay, the room was on par with a lower priced hotel. Very clean at least, but not conducive for someone who needs a place for getting ready for a night out. I've stayed at similarly priced hotels with a much better room. Next trip to Minneapolis I'll stay at a different hotel to get the experience of four stars, rather than the three stars this felt like. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
