The hotel stay was very convenient for the location of the Church Conference I was attemding. I was pleased with the Breakfast prepared each morning. On my last morning, the Breakfast buffet was closed early. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Pest control needs to be alerted. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I walked in to the lobby and the whole place had a funky sweet and stale smell to it. The front desk person seemed bothered to check me in.She said nothing to me other than there is a $100 dollar hold on your credit card that will be refunded when you check out. The room key didnt open the side door to the hotel where the parking was. The only entry to the hotel was the long walk back to the front and through the lobby. The hallway to the room on the third floor had a different distinct smell. The room was the farthest from the front desk, all the way at the end of the hall. The "confirmed reservation" was for a room with a king size bed. I know I paid more for this, but the room I was given had two small beds. This room had its own even different smell. But it appeared to be clean. I went to call about the bed situation and the room phone didn't work. I walked back to the desk. I told the desk person that I had gotten the wrong room, I had a reservation for a room with a king size bed. She only said there are none left. I asked about my confirmed reservation, and she said there were no king size left when I made my reservation, and they called me to let me know. I asked when they called and she said, she has no control of that, they use a third party. Whatever that means. I said there are no rooms left with a larger bed? (because the parking lot was empty there must certainly be another room) and she said, I can offer you a different room. I asked about the bed in that room and she said "its the same, two doubles." I said "how does that help me?",and she said, "the only thing is its a further walk for you." I said, how can it be any further than my current room and she just stared at me. I asked if I could have the lower rate since I paid extra for the king size and she said the rate is the same. At this point, I was tired and just wanted to rest, I had been driving for 5 hours and I had a 7:30am meeting. The source of the smell on the third floor was the construction site covered with a tarp just outside my door with a bucket of something like paint or glue or something. The TV had most channels with the message, you are not subscribed to this channel. In the hall near the elevators there was stains in the carpet, trash on the floor. The refrigerator in the room made on and off noises all night. Towels were exceptionally small. Bathroom was clean, very nice tiles in the shower. The bed sheets were very wrinkled, I suspected they might not have been changed,so I closely inspected them and they looked clean, just very wrinkled. I normally keep the A/C low, under 70, but this thermostat showed 72 and it was really cold in that room. The A/C vent could use a cleaning. The ironing board wouldn't lock in the upright position. The iron itself was burned/scarred I had to test ironing on an old t-shirt to make sure it didn't leave a mark on my clothes. I had to lay the ironing board on one of the beds and try to iron my clothes. In the morning, I decided to look at the breakfast, because they had given me a card (to show my server?) for the complementary breakfast. i just looked, it didnt seem appealing at all, I was so over this experience. I just checked out. This desk person didnt care to ask about how my stay was. He seemed very surprised that I wanted a reciept. And that took what seemed like forever to generate a single page print out. This was booked through my employer's travel agent, so the next day I informed them of the room change, and the price I paid, so they called the hotel. The hotel told them they since they advised me that the room had two double beds when I checked in, that they wouldnt adjust the rate. Honestly, This place was bad enough to make me write a review, just so other people are not surprised when they get this experience. and bad enough to make me never choose Ramada again. Almost bad enough to make me not choose any of the Wyndham group ever again. Look, Its reasonable to expect a welcoming attitude at a reception desk. I get that maybe there was a mistake and the room with a confirmed reservation might somehow not be available, but then what is the purpose of a reservation. The take-away is the people running this hotel simply dont care. They dont care enough to keep it clean. They dont care that a guest is not having a good experience. They dont care that the place smells. They dont care that the reservation was wrong. Read the other reviews, the phones not working seems to be a common problem. others complained about the smell. The reception desk seems to need a bit of customer service training. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Value for a night's rest

Jan 22nd, 2020

Good rest , awesome friendly staff and comfortable room and comfortable beds. Improvement on the breakfast buffet desired. Suggest staff eat and then critique breakfast about an hour or more into service time. Make improvements accordingly. Runny waffle mix, limited and not exactly fresh, fresh fruit. Coffee basic condiments nonexistent. You all can do better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Incompetent Front Desk cost me an overdraft fee.

Jan 5th, 2020

We cheacking into this hotel I was so excited it was my first time staying at one of these hotels! Like any other hotel there was a hold fee. It was $100 deposit. I handed the young boy. 2 credit cards. I asked him with very specific direction to charge the hotel charge to one card and to put the $100 room deposit on another card. He did the exact opposite. He called over the other woman working begind the desk. This women was so rude. She at first tried to say I was lieing. Then when I promised and provided proof that the young boy had done it wrong . she said well there is nothing they could do. I even explained to her that it was going to cause $90.00 in overdraft charges still rude. Smh. Never again. To be honest the room was not even that nice. The phone was broke and there was a broken lamp shade. The breakfast was nasty. Save your money. This hotel was not up to par at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NOT recommended!

Jan 3rd, 2020

I stayed here for 5 nights while visiting nearby family for Christmas. I had one hassle after another, and the smells were atrocious. From the first entry into the room, I had difficulty getting in with my key. The second day I had them make a new one for me, but still had difficulty with it opening the door. So they said they would work on it while I was away on Christmas Eve day. When I came back at 10:30pm Christmas Eve, they said they were unable to fix the door lock and suggested that I change to another room. I refused to move at that late hour, and they said they would work on the door again the next day. When I returned to the room late on Christmas Day, they again suggested that I move to another room because they were still unable to fix the lock. I had no choice but to move. The second room I was in had other issues. First, the phone didn't work at all. The staff then took a phone from another room and it worked. Second, when I tried to use the microwave the next morning, I was shocked to see bits of old food on the tray in the microwave. Apparently they don't clean them! The smells in the hotel were almost unbearable. From the moment you walk into the front door to the lobby, the smell of mildew is everywhere, in all of the halls. When I walked into my room, the mildew was overcome by the smell of talcum powder. It seemed like they put an air freshener in the air conditioner to try to mask the mildew smell. I like the smell of talc, but not in overwhelming amounts! Housekeeping was also an issue. The "towels" I got on day 2 were actually just multiple bath mats - as if they ran out of clean regular towels. They also took away the used hand soap, but failed to replace it with another, leaving me with just the bar of soap for the shower. And then there was the old food in the microwave... Look elsewhere for a hotel!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
