Superbowl get away

Feb 18th, 2020

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and pleasant (especially Mivline). Pool area and beach are great. Pool bar and restaurant make the day very enjoyable. Room was exceptionally clean. There was a work out room with new equipment and great sidewalks for walking (very safe area). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Run Down Mess

Feb 17th, 2020

The first impression of this hotel is that it has a nice lobby with a nice feel to it. That nice feeling goes away as soon as you get to the check in counter and you have to deal with the numb sculls working behind the counter. The first one couldn't find our reservation and told us to sit down and wait so we waited and went back up again. Now the second clerk couldn't find our reservation. Over an hour later and dealing with 5 different clerks, they are finally able to check us in. TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!! The room was not maintained well and the whole building stunk! The $15 a day resort fee is a joke and the valet parking is an even bigger joke. We paid $20 for it and had to wait way too long to get our car when we wanted to get the hell out of there the next morning. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name on such a run down, poorly run junk hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

we stay every year 3 weeks in this hotel, the lobby and all conditions are better than last year, especially the breakfast in the restaurant, many fruits and the buffet is good but you can order anything you wish! The service is quick and very polite, the waiters speak foreign languages, Special thanks to Stella and Rose! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not recommended

Feb 17th, 2020

I went for four days with my parents, I paid an extra night to be able to check-in early, but the woman in the desk was not able to find my name for thirty minutes and keep repeating me that registration was at 4 pm. When we got to the room, the internet, Tv and air conditioner did not work, we call the reception they send someone, and he could not fix it, the excuse was that the building was too old, what is right, the bathroom looks dirty and humid, it did not have air extractor. I would not recommend going to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room for improvement, but not terrible

Feb 16th, 2020

I booked here because it was President’s Day/Valentines Day/Boat Show weekend and finding anything affordable was really challenging. This popped up after a month of searching, and the location was amazing. I did not read reviews ahead of time and am glad I didn’t! Our room on the 11th floor looks to be partially newly remodeled. It’s an odd mix. Flooring, kitchenette counters and cabinets are very nice and appear new. Bedside table, credenza and bathroom cabinets are older, dented and scratched. Part of the towel bars look new, the toilet paper holder is old and rusty. The bed was comfortable and that is very important. The room was large and included a high top table and chairs. Could have used a couch or other comfortable chairs. The only comfortable place to sit was on the bed. There is room for other seating. Staff has been a mix. Front desk staff was mercurial. Sometimes nice sometimes abrupt. It was odd that we couldn’t check in before our room was ready and get a phone call or text when we could go to our room. Had to stand in line again to check in after waiting in line an hour earlier only to be told to come back. Restaurant servers and bartenders have been great. Valet and concierge staff were a little surly. Our room did not get serviced one day, but clean towels were brought up immediately when we requested them. Pool area requires a wristband, and originally I was told we could only have one towel per person, and they have to be signed for. You will be charged $10 per towel if not returned. I hate that they feel they need that policy. Do enough people really steal or lose the towels that it’s necessary? Later I was able to get 2 towels per person, which is more reasonable, but still had to sign for them. All in all, for the price paid on this high-dollar weekend, it was fine. We generally prefer something nicer, but when even Motel 6 was unaffordable, we were ok staying here. The pool area was fine and the beach front location was outstanding. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
