I could not has asked for a better place to stay. We were there 4 days & wish we could have stayed for months. Inn was soo beautiful and relaxing. I would highly recommend the Inn to any of my friends and family TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful grounds, welcoming service

My wife and I had a fantastic time at Rancho Bernardo Inn. The grounds are spectacular, so relaxing and serene. The service is the best we have experienced for many years. We are particularly grateful to Brandon, from the front desk, who went out of his way to welcome us and ensure that we were set up for a great stay and Bel, from the Cafe, who took care of us like were were family. One Of Our Favorites

Truly wonderful place to get away. The hotel is highly maintained and the staff is always there to greet you and help in anyway. Don't overlook the pastries and breakfast sandwiches in the G Cafe. Everything is made with quality ingredients and highly recommend it. Also, if you get the pleasure to see Belinda in the morning she is amazing. Golf Course is in top condition and the staff did a great job sanitizing everything and making you feel comfortable. This really is a special gem of a place and cant wait to go back. Shout out to Branden, Myra and Aubrey these three along with Belinda really made the stay that much better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mediocre at best..

Checked in on 07/04/2020 and the hotel was below my expectations. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is in a neighborhood and didn't have a clear sign upon arrival. I thought the buildings were an apartment complex and as you drive to the entrance all the linens are on the side of the road overflowing in the bins. Not exactly a great first impression. When you drive up the golf course entrance is to the left and Lobby is on the right with plenty of parking. The check-in process was easy and efficient. Not overly welcoming or friendly but just cordial. I say that because prior to booking I've read some reviews that raved about the employees "really care and are so friendly" to the guests so I was kind of expecting a happier welcome. Rooms: Outdated and musky. Not worth the hefty charge of $449.95 a night. Stayed on the 3rd floor in the Green Building (which I dreaded because one fellow Yelper reported bugs) Thankfully, no bugs in sight! Green Building views were perfect and serene BUT I didn't dare go sit outside. Leaves were everywhere including on the table and chairs and it looked like it wasn't cleaned for quite some time. Grounds: I didn't have time to explore but the layout was weird and it seems like the best photos were posted on social media. I usually stay in Gaslamp whenever I visit SD but given the current pandemic, I thought I would stay somewhere a little more secluded. My biggest disappointment was mainly the service. They preach that they are not like "regular" hotels and more personable but it didn't seem different. Down to the Starbucks cup and glass bottle that was in the parking lot from the time I arrived to the next day I left. We brought our Furbaby and I thought it was so cute how they advertised online the special Doggy Welcome bowl w/ some goodies. Upon check-in they confirmed (and saw) my furbaby, in my room there was nothing for my pet. I called the front desk and asked for what was advertised online (FYI, you pay a $100 non-refundable fee for your pets stay) they said someone will deliver it. and then 15 minutes later they called saying they ran out. No other option, nothing else offered. I guess I'm a bad fur-mama because I figured since they would provide that, I only packed a bag of kibble but no bowls. Being and promoting that you're a "Pet Friendly" establishment is more than just saying it. and ran out? Come on...I booked in advance and on the reservation it is stated there is a pet. If it wasn't given at check-in, it should have been in the room. Talk about zero preparation for guests. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Only one building had a elevator. Used a wagon for the kids stuff,carrying it up the stairs was not fun . Bc of covid no daily housekeeping for the rooms. They had 25% service fee charge on “ everything “. For example room service fee + 25% service fee + tax . A $18 dollar burger turned into $30! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
