Beautiful Resort in Stunning Location

Feb 25th, 2020

My girlfriend & I came down for a few days of R & R. This is a perfect place to either exercise, hike, and bike or relax with stretching classes, yoga, hammocks in the sun or pool and spa. There is something for everyone, here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good value for the money

Feb 8th, 2020

Red Mountain Resort is a good value for the price point - the food is sufficient (very generous breakfast), a variety of options for hikes and other activities, and I found my king room to be spacious and comfortable. I thought all of the guides were very good. I agree with some of the reviews about the lackluster spa experience, yes there could be improvement for sure. My massage was just okay, and the space itself is not great. That said it's not fair to compare Red Mountain to Canyon Ranch or Miraval. If you want that experience then you have to pay for it. This is a good place for a solo travel, but especially for a group of friends who might have varying budgets and interests including different fitness levels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Living a healthy life

Jan 23rd, 2020

I come here for fitness motivation and i always leave inspired. The guests are lovely and friendly so its very easy to arrive as a solo. No matter your fitness level high or low there is never any shaming. Your age and weight never matter the welcome mat is out. Every day that i am here I cant wait to see what wonderful healthy food has been made for me. Sweet, kind, caring staff. How do i live here permanently? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing and relaxing stay in a gorgeous setting!

Jan 11th, 2020

Lovely staff, beautiful views, great hiking and outdoor excursions and enjoyable classes at the wellness center ranging from meditation, fitness, yoga and pilates. I decided to go by myself for New Years and it was a wonderful solo vacation spot. I had a wonderful stay. When I arrived I had booked a king bed room as I was alone and was given a queen room as no kings were available. I would like to commend Levi for his help and his allowing me the use of the connecting living room as it was not occupied. It made my stay and helped in the relaxation that exudes from the resort. Thank you to everyone and especially Levi! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

If you want peaceful and quiet spa experience, look elsewhere

Jan 5th, 2020

I write this in sadness over anger. This review has one star because zero stars is not an option. I have been coming here for 10 years myself and have also brought my department here for retreats. I’m sorry to say that I have witnessed the resort’s decline and today was simply the last straw. If you want a peaceful spa experience, go elsewhere. I went to the spa for a series of treatments to get some much needed rest after a stressful family event. I left more aggravated than when I came in. The spa staff does not know and/or has not been trained how to be quiet. Three times I heard staff raising their voices and having personal conversations in the treatment areas. When you are naked on a massage table, or trying to gather your thoughts in the lounge, you have no choice but to hear this intrusive inanity. It is NOT calming or restful. I strongly suggest that resort management visit nationally noted spas like Canyon Ranch, Miraval, or Golden Door to see how it is done. Red Mountain charges rates that are comparable to these spas but they are in no way equal. I’m sad to write this. How can you screw things up so badly and waste such a beautiful location?
