Feb 7th, 2020
Please helpful front desk clerk. Was able to change us to first floor rooms even though we had not requested this at the time we booked the rooms. Location convenient to Marina, Patriot Point and the cruise terminal.Rooms were clean and were all I expected after booking on line. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I had a great visit with friends. It’s very convenient to downtown Charleston and beaches and other surrounding areas. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Room was clean and bed was comfy. I stay here often when I visit my home city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean, well maintained rooms with outstanding service from Front Desk to Housekeeping! Easy access to Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge that takes you downtown Charleston in minutes. Sullivan’s Island is just minutes away! Staff was excellent in recommending local restaurants. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Good Base for Charleston Explorations
Jan 20th, 2020
My wife and I stayed here for a 3-day weekend. It was our base for exploring Charleston and the beaches just south of the city. It was easily accessed off the Ravenal Bridge. Each morning my dog and I enjoyed the easy walk from the hotel down to the park underneath the bridge. There were also plenty of restaurants within walking/short drive distance of the hotel. The room was pretty basic, no frills. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very thin, with basically no difference between the ones labeled “soft” and “firm.” The sink area was very nice, almost looking newly redone, but the bathtub definitely didn’t feel as new/pristine. The water pressure was also extremely high out of the shower, like a human power washer. I’m not saying that was a bad thing, just a note to be prepared. We had one couple next door to us that had quite the argument one morning that could be clearly heard through the walls, but you can’t pick your neighbors at any hotel. I did wish the curtains on the windows pulled a little more closed than they did. Even pulled as far as we could get them to, there was still a sliver where someone could see in pretty clearly if they were walking by. If you are looking for a no frills, basic stay to explore Charleston, this hotel will do the trick. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nothing "plus" about this Red Roof Inn Plus...
Jan 6th, 2020
Thankfully I stayed only for one night, recently. The place was basically dead (as in very empty), yet still we happened to get stuck with a room with a poorly operating ac/heater (broken switches), so it was either have the unit blow on high all night, or turn it off and sleep in a stuffy room. Also, several trucks were parked nearby the room, and they idled all night. I felt like I was staying more in a truck stop, but it wasn't worth moving all of my luggage for one night. For the price point (about 85 bucks for the night), I will not be back. Disappointed with this property, and I stay at quite a few Red Roof Inns. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
