The Only Hotel I Will Entrust with my Life During Covid
Dec 2nd, 2020
It is obvious that the staff at this hotel cares not only about their health and safety, but that of the guests. Before returning to this hotel, which is akin to a "home away from home" for us, we called and asked about their Covid protocols. As we expected, they are doing everything they can to avoid putting anyone's health in jeopardy. Unlike the other two hotels we have stayed in since March (very unusual for a Marriott Lifetime Titanium,) the Redmont's staff wears their masks properly and enforces their public area mask policy. (The 2 Marriotts we stayed at led by example, and had staff not even covering their noses with masks---see my Ross Bridge review...) The Redmont asks for distancing. They are constantly sanitizing everything, including the dreaded elevator buttons. We were comforted greatly by this. We knew they would not let us down, now, as they have never done so in the past. Our friends and family have made comments that my family is ultra Covid safe. We have everything delivered to our home and have not entered a store since March. We trust the Redmont. We stay there during a pandemic. That says something about them. It is nice to know that there IS a property that takes this pandemic seriously, cares about its guests, and cares about its staff. The Redmont has restored my faith in hospitality. Again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First the staff was pleasant, then they immediately offered an upgrade due to my Hilton Diamond reward status (something the Hilton says I should get but has happened only a few times over hundreds of stays). And the topper! In the morning I found my GMC Yukon had a flat tire. This is a truck body SUV with the spare under the carriage. A Redmont manager named Jay spent an hour helping me change the tire while my family waited inside. He refused any remuneration but will always have our gratitude! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Must Stay in Birmingham

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Birmingham and can't wait to return to the Redmont Hotel. Lisa Jackson helped us with all of our needs and even assisted us in decorating the room for a birthday before we arrived. Wonderful staff and the rooftop bar was an amazing bonus! We shut it down both nights up there when were in town. I would highly recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed at the Redmont Hotel last night while driving from northern Virginia to Louisiana. I researched hotel chains that were taking Covid seriously. Read that Hilton was taking excellent precautions. Everything I read was true. Very nice hotel. Highly recommend. Would like to go back when bar, restaurant and all services are back! Professional employees. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Do Not Stay Here!!!
Oct 18th, 2020
As I am writing, at 11:22 pm, we cannot sleep because there is a nightclub on the roof playing banging music from a DJ. We called the front desk and their option was to move rooms. We are 3 floors below the music already. I think they have missed the point that people rent a hotel room to SLEEP. This is way worse than a motel 6 yet it is supposed to be a boutique hotel. Do NOT stay here unless you want to be awake until 2 am. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
