a bit above our pay grade but great as a package

Bought a week bed and breakfast with air company that uses modlin. Great value, great breakfasts, clean spacious accommodation (bed so big I got lost in it). Pool for swimming on level b3 .5 min walk to at least 3 different parks. You can walk into town through the park or enjoy the Chopin on sunny afternoons. Best of all hundreds of busses and trams are just minutes away and the ticket machine is about 100 metres away, just ask at reception. Use Google translate and the camera to figure out the ticket machine and you have city wide travel for 3 days and minimal expense. Even cheaper if over 70 (like us). Right next to Russian embassy. A brilliant place to stay if you can get it on a deal. We took all others meals in town so can't comment on evening food etc. Dress is smart casual. We will definitely stay there again. Nothing was too much trouble, they even let me try out my feeble Polish and then answered in Polish or English until we understood each other. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel with large rooms/ The breakfast was great and include everything you wish to drink or eat during breakfast such as omlette, salads, vegetables, fruit, juice, cold and hot drinks etc. The spa was perfect and includes hot swimming pool, sauna, jacuzii, etc. The staff was very polite and helpfull and tried to serve the customers in the best way they could. No casino or shopping center but the national park across the street. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Almost all good

Good restaurant with attentive stuff for dinner. Great breakfast and service during it. Suite has no toilet brush. Sink was in a very dirty condition. Especially little holes for draining water. Unappealing minibar system - when you remove a can or bottle in some seconds this info automatically goes in the system. Info about such system is written on a small paper hidden in some cupboard. Although a little far from the centre of Warsaw this hotel has very good rooms and amenities and easily accessible. In room TV picks up channels from all countries. Food excellent especially the superb breakfast selection. Nearby about 10 minutes walk away behind hotel large shopping centre. 20 minutes after turning left large park with some of Warsaw's sights. Good bus service outside hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Appalling Experience

Jun 3rd, 2019

Arrived on Sunday 2 June single experienced female traveller staying for 2 nights. I was made aware in advance that there is a high profile meeting taking place and it may take a little longer when coming into the hotel. Tonight Monday night at 20.30 someone hammers on my door shouting “security open the door”. I go to the door and say “I am not opening the door” the man bangs on the door and shouts again, again I refuse. He then says “you have to open we need to check for bombs”. I am not a drama queen but having no idea what this high profile meeting is here I think “terrorist attack” they just want me to open my door. I look at the peep hole to see 6 men dressed in black. Again I am told “I must open the door”. The man was aggressive and threatening in his voice. I have no choice but to open my door, in come three men with mirrors on stick, they go through my personal belongings and search the bedroom. They then leave saying “thank you”. This experience was absolutely appalling. I was not notified this routine search (as it turned out to be) would happen and was terrified. As a lone female traveller in my dressing gown I felt completely vulnerable and scared. We live in a time when terrorists attack western hotels and no thought was given to how this search should be managed. Apparently the dignitaries don’t arrive until tomorrow. Disgusted is not even close to how I am feeling. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
