True Comfort in a Perfect Location
Oct 13th, 2020
We spent 6 days at the Renaissance Amsterdam in Aug 2020. The room was lovely with a view of the city rooves, although we were upgraded through Marriott Membership. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The price was reasonable. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was the best it could be for exploring. You are only moments from a canal, a few minutes walk from the trams, canal boat tours and shopping district, a 25 minute walk to the art museums. Central Station was close enough to wheel our bags to the hotel and perfect for taking day trips to other towns (try Haarlem or Leiden). The station also had a food concourse with river views and a free ferry to the other side. We cannot tell you about the nightlife (too old for that), but on the doorstep are a range of good quality restaurants and the Koepel cafe was a great place to start the day with coffee. We can't wait to go again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing hotel and staff
Sep 22nd, 2020
We have just returned from a long weekend at this gorgeous hotel. The staff were amazing and so accommodating with flexible check-in/out times. Room was so comfy and we'll catered for. Breakfast under new Covid rules worked so well and finally location is perfect in the centre and close to the main station and all attractions. We Will Be Back. Thank you TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Poor Service for Elite Members
Sep 7th, 2020
As an elite member, we were supposed to get a room upgrade but were given a standard room, they must have lots of empty rooms due to COVID but they did not give me an upgrade, we are supposed to get 1000 welcome points which I did not receive, in fact, I received no Bonvoy points for the stay. The worst part was the lounge was closed so we were told to go to the bar instead, when we went we were standing there for around 5 minutes right in front of the bartender but he was playing on this phone and was so busy he did not notice us, eventually, we made a noise and he looked up from his phone. He said we could only have one free drink and a snack, he brought a very small snack portion that only had 3 rice balls and 3 spring rolls this was to share between 4 people, there were 4 of us all with lounge access. The following day we went again and had a different bartender, this one somehow found out our room numbers and charged us for the "free drinks and snacks" we only found this out when I went to check out, I find it very dishonest to use my room number and charge items to my room without telling me. I can't believe the Marriott would be so stingy, with COVID you would think they would want to encourage people to stay not try and get them to stay at another hotel chain. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean hotel with loads of nice people in there. we were so in shock of how brilliant the rooms where and its very close to the center and the shops and different restaurants. One of the people recommended us to eat at Day’s Stonegrill 1870 which was nearby the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you and will recommend anyone this great hotel! Great location, average food
Aug 23rd, 2020
I have stayed for three night during early December, Check-in was ok and the hotel seemed alright as a first impression. The room was decent but I had some internet issues that got resolved after 30 mins. Had to change the room after one night as there was major issue with AC and a bit of a faulty bathroom, the second room was more spacious and trouble free. In terms of location, the hotel is quite central and everything is pretty much in walking distance. The breakfast in the members lounge was a bit disappointing and I couldn’t get to try the main breakfast buffet in the lobby, despite being paid for. I would recommend it for the location if you want be close to pretty much everything. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
