Exceptional in every way

Aug 1st, 2020

Our stay at Renaissance Austin was a delight. The staff, overly friendly and accommodating. The room, impeccable (with a fantastic view!). We enjoyed margaritas and food at The Knotty Deck Bar, which surpassed our expectations (more brisket nachos and fried tomatoes, please!). Our server was the sweetest, and we were treated like family. Honestly, the only hotel I will stay, when visiting Austin. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Finally, Away from Home!

Aug 1st, 2020

We want to getaway from the COVID 19 madness, so we choose something near from our place, San Antonio. The hotel was fairly open due to the shutdown and on its 3-week of operations. It has only allowed 50% capacity. The check in is very fast, and we used the QR code to know more about the hotel and amenities. All guests followed the face coverings/masks policy. There are available masks in case the guests forgot to wear, it’s a good thing for you don’t need to go back to the room. There are reminders/signs inside the hotel, a family or 2 guests ONLY are allowed to use the elevator at a time. Social distancing signs on the floors are visible. All guests followed it so well and very cautious. It is pleasant to see the staff working so well to maintain the place sanitized and clean. They are cheerful and happy to see us, very professional and friendly. The room is very clean, well-maintained, and spacious. Since we are staying for 3 days, my husband requested extra coffee, they are very fast to attend to our needs. (less than 5 minutes). The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are extremely soft, we had a restful and great sleep throughout the stay. We enjoy the atmosphere and the drinks at the Knotty Deck & Bar and the @ustinBytes. The food are sooooo delicious and you’ll crave for more. The workout area, pool including the whirlpool/Jacuzzi are put into use, we absolutely enjoyed the amenities. The hotel is near the shopping area and dining restaurants like Zoe Kitchen, and Cheesecake Factory for another option to eat, is a walking distance. It has a nice trail to walk around the Arboretum, close to nature, very safe, peaceful and quiet. We decided to explore more by going to Lake Travis, it’s so beautiful. There is a boat rental but you have to do it online to make the reservations. Another place is Oasis Restaurant, we love the food, take so many pictures, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset. It is a 20-30 minute drive to and from the hotel. We had a great time and enjoy every moment. Thanks to amazing staff – Kaylene, Leishla, Merry, and Mr. Rene Lopez for a wonderful welcome and made our staycation incredibly awesome and exciting. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to go back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Above-and-beyond team, beautiful hotel, fantastic location

Jul 31st, 2020

During a complete remodel of our home, I booked us into the Renaissance to get away from the chaos for a few days and it was a virtual paradise. We were literally the first guests to check in after the hotel's remodel, which is fabulous, btw. I took my sons to the pool, where one of them fell and skinned his knee pretty badly. The hotel team couldn't have been more sympathetic and helpful and got him patched up right away. Being four of a very few guests in the newly-reopened hotel, we were treated like royalty and enjoyed the stay tremendously. A few weeks later, remodel complete and house on the market, we decided to treat ourselves to another weekend at the Renaissance in order to stay out of the way of realtors and potential buyers. I reached out to GM Rob Gillette, who had introduced himself and checked on us throughout our previous stay, to ask if we might get an early check-in. He responded right away with news that made our weekend - he'd upgraded us to the Presidential suite. Once again, we had the best time ever at the Renaissance and my kids will never forget the royal treatment. During a hectic summer, this hotel and its fantastic team were the break we needed. Every single team member was kind and helpful, from the attentive operations manager to Esperanza at check-in to the kind grandmother who chatted with my five-year old while we were at the coffee counter. Gillette has an amazing group of people there. And the hotel itself is beautiful. I've been there many times for business events and love how they've updated and modernized during their recent remodel. Indoor and outdoor pools, spacious gym, great restaurant - all look new and fresh. Can't recommend the Renaissance Austin more highly! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I live just south of Austin and planned a small weekend getaway. The Renaissance Austin hotel did not disappoint. We were greeted with a warm and genuine welcome and the wonderful service continued from there. Thank you Rene, Lily, Atiyah, Mercedes, and Kaylene for a memorable stay! We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and cannot wait to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our favorite hotel in North Austin

Jul 27th, 2020

We live near Austin, and occasionally want a local getaway. This hotel is the best North Austin has to offer. It's gorgeous, spacious and very clean and up to date. You get what you pay for. It's a tad more expensive than other hotels in the area, but the pool, the room, and the staff make it worth it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
